University of Louisville athletic director Vince Tyra said in a recent interview that he was looking at Power Five opponents to add to the football schedule.

Well, Tyra found an SEC opponent for the future.

Louisville and Texas A&M have scheduled a home-and-home series for the 2028 and 2029 seasons, the University announced on Monday. The Aggies will host the Cardinals at Kyle Field in 2028 on Sep. 2 and then travel to Cardinal Stadium in 2029 on Sep. 1.

“We're excited to schedule a traditionally strong program with one of the best environments in college football,” Tyra said. “We know our fans will enjoy the series and we're comfortable our future players will as well.”

The two teams have met four previous times, with Texas A&M leading owning a 3-1 series advantage. The Cardinals defeated the Aggies 27-21 in the 2015 Music City Bowl in the last meeting between the two schools. After playing the first two games of the series at Texas A&M in 1992 and 1993, the Cardinals hosted the Aggies for the first time in 1994.

One thing I’ve always admired about a good percent of our UofL fans is the ages. I’ve looked around and noted the folks my parents age and much older. My folks think old, act old and have been doing old for 20 yrs now. While we have been having fun for many years with the older folks.

So I plan to be at an Aggie game in 10 yrs as one of the older folk.

Hey I’ll be 85 and 86 when these games are played. The good Lord willing I’ll be there! But, otherwise, I’ll be “raising hell” in cheering for the Cards from UP THERE. Hehehehehehe!!! :p:p:D:D:);)

GO CARDS - BEAT EVERYBODY!!! God Bless America!!!

That was a weird video with that music but it was really neat. Was film clips from old movies?

wow..a ways out.

A&M is one of the best college football sites in the nation. Has been for years.
Those of you that get the chance to go will never forget it.
