The honors and accolades just keep stacking up for Dana Evans.

Yesterday, she was named as one of the five Ann Meyers Drysdale Award finalists and also to the Naismith Award list of 11.

The Drysdale Award is for best shooting guard in NCAAWBB and the Naismith is for Player of the Year.

BTW, the ACC WBB Tournament starts today at 2 p.m. with one game -- Pitt vs. Boston College. RSN has the coverage -- that's FOX Sports Network here locally and channel 70 or 929 on Spectrum. Check with your provider for your digits to watch.

Would love to see her win both but if she doesn’t win the Drysdale award I would’ve very schocke.

Sonja whose her primary competition for the Player of the Year? I can’t imagine anyone out there out shooting better than her as a guard. She should get the Meyers Drysdale Award.

I am sure there is a guard wearing a UConn, Baylor, South Carolina or Stanford jersey who easily has outpaced Dana. Those programs and conferences are so far ahead of UofL...and their players are obviously on a different level.

I watched Baylor play Texas and they couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn in the first half. They played better the 2nd half but I was not impressed. UConn gets a lot of recognition because of their past. They are a good team but they are relying heavily on a freshmen. That freshmen (Page Bueckers) is really good and I like her she has a dynamic personality to go along with her talent. But the rest of the UConn team is not that impressive.
South Carolina has 4 losses that should be enough said about them. I haven’t seen enough of Stanford to know much. They do have Fillipi ( not sure of the correct spelling) and she is really good she played with HVL and Page Bueckers on the US National team. She is a good athlete who can dunk the ball she is very impressive.

I think everyone is really underestimating the talent level and toughness of the ACC. I hope they don’t make a decision on the winner of these awards until after the tournaments.
