This may or may not be a hot take, but I think Travis Egan will find a starting role somewhere on defense by the end of his time at Louisville. If you watch any special teams play throughout the year he's right in the middle of the action almost every single time. On the opening kickoff against Clemson he ragdolls the guy trying to block him and stops the returner dead in his tracks. He does the same thing on Clemson's next kickoff return. It's also evident how bad he wants to win when you watch him on the sidelines as he's one of the first guys running to and picking up any offensive player who goes out of bounds. As evidenced by his HS career, I think the guy is just simply a winner and doesn't care what role he has to play to make it happen (spied the QB for about 70 yards on the final play of the state championship game his senior year and sacked him to end it). It's cool to me to see Brohm reward guys who work their asses off and compete day in/day out with PT whether they're a 5-star recruit or a 0-star walk on (Kris Hughes also comes to mind.) It wouldn't surprise me in the least to see Egan get some serious PT as soon as next year.
