I do not believe the NCAA's COI has the authority to issue that level of penalty without obtaining additional support and final approval from the Board of Governors. The very real risk of multiple lawsuits from players, fans, the University; not to mention local Louisville politicians who would lobby the NAACP to intercede on behalf of a urban mission University should eliminate that option.

I expect Neeli Bendapudi to personally address the NCAA Committee, and I think she has some persuasive argument that will be far more compelling than what TJ and his team presented the last time.

Mack has recruited very well given the hand he got dealt. And he worked some magic to keep Nwora and Enoch around for the "what could have been" year of his tenure.

It's a shame he's suspended to start the season, and the team is already getting hurt by that.

Maybe the team will be better for it by the time the season is over. Go through some adversity early on.

The ACC is awful. There aren't a ton of great wins there to pad a resume to get an invite to a tournament you already know the NCAA doesn't want Louisville to be in. The Cards gotta make it a no-brainer to get the invite, a true injustice to get left out. Any season close to the bubble, forget about it.

And if we ask ourselves, a proud program such as the Cards, is this good times?

Will still be rooting the guys on need a win.
