So if you haven't heard of Bill Connelly before, he now works for ESPN, but is the creator of the SP+ model (formerly S&P+). Here is what Bill said about the model: "SP+ is intended to be predictive and forward-facing. That is important to remember. It is not a résumé ranking that gives credit for big wins or particularly brave scheduling -- no good predictive system is. It is simply a measure of the most sustainable and predictable aspects of football. If you're lucky or unimpressive in a win, your rating will probably fall. If you're strong and unlucky in a loss, it will probably rise."

I am going to track Louisville and it's opponents from week to week with the model and post a chart showing trends. So far we have Preseason ranks, Week 1, and Week 2.

Notable movers so far: Syracuse has fallen off a cliff going from preseason 53rd, to 40th, down to 70th after week 2. FSU is slowly declining from 35th preseason down to 46th now. Wake, UVA, and Kentucky have had moderate moves up. Boston College and NV State have made double digit moves up the chart.
