The three main things I am looking for tomorrow based on our play against Purdue.

1) Turnovers - We can NOT continue to turn the ball over, especially in key situations.
2) Pre-snap Movement - 10 false start penalties in game one. Unacceptable. Hoping for 3 or less.
3) QB Pressure/Defensive Packages - I was very happy with our defensive play calling against Purdue. Only one game under Sirmon's belt for us, so I am looking forward to seeing his play calling against an ACC foe, specifically blitz packages and circumstances.

Go Cards!

Those concerns are pretty daggone common with all of us. I cannot even imagine how frustrating it would be to see 10 more procedure penalties, ha ha - or 4 fumbles. And we all shudder as One at the thought.

Considering we do get over these Yips, I really want to focus now and then on individuals. For example, how many know that Khane Pass had 6 tackles and one for a loss? Dude is shaping into an absolute stud.

I think for all of us, we are hoping the depth we saw last week continues through the entire season. If so, we could get somewhere special.

Good post OP. I too am curious to see how the DC calls the game. Not even going to think about the false start issue from game 1. That still has me cringing.

Don't look for false starts to decrease this week. On the road we will have 5+ almost guaranteed. Last week was a friendly environment (it seemed like more cards fans than Purdue).

Not to pick on you, but we had one. A lot of our fans will soon come to realize this O Line is good. In 2 weeks, we had 3 100 yard rushers, 700 yards today in total offense, meaning our stats so far this season, playing against what will, in the end, be considered good P5 competition, are better than they were after 2 games last season. 1 sack in 2 games, one procedure penalty yesterday, 300 yards on the ground and people are absolutely terrified of saying something as easy as - "Dam, our offensive line might be really good." Watching Becton pass protect, this is the first time I've seen a blocker obscure any sight of a defender, lol. He devours them.

Time to work a new mantra if victimization and scapegoating,. The O line is bored with it. Me too.

They've definitely improved.

Going back to my original three--
1) Turnovers - Absolutely massive check. ZERO turnovers. If we can continue to hold onto the ball there is no reason we shouldn't put up stress on each scoreboard we are on.
2) Pre-snap Movement - I believe we had 1 pre-snap penalty as opposed to the first week. EXCELLENT job done by the O-Line and skill players understanding snap count and executing. This O-line as Senore mentioned has turned into a very nice piece of our puzzle. They have been terrific on pass blocking and have been able to move two P5 teams line backwards on run plays.
3) QB Pressure/Defensive Package - Of the three this is the one that didn't fully check the box. I love our run defense, as we shown the ability to hold the line and keep edges locked up. The one area I am a bit less happy with up until this point is our ability to get pressure on the QB. I think this has to do with much less pressure blitzing than we saw under Grantham. I am pretty happy with Sirmons play calling thus far as we seem to have players in the right spots at the right times, I would like to see about a 10% bump in blitz plays though, so we shall see if this changes at all as we get through the season.

Overall, very happy with another win. Especially getting 2 wins against P5 teams, can't overstate a road win in today's game.

Come on Clemson. Let's do this.
Go Cards.
