and there are people that accuse BP of being cold hearted.... Yeah right.

Michigan Harbaughs-78
Rutgers-0. (Sorry Ra-Ra, you're still awesome).

Washington-70
Oregon-21

Most interesting game in the ACC to me was Virginia Tech's resurgence in a 34-3 smackerdown of the giddy Tarheels at UNC.

From our standpoint, there will be good and bad in the outcomes of these games every week. We don't need EVERY outcome each week to go our way. If U-dub loses at Cal, at Utah, vs USC, or their title game, it doesn't much matter what they did the other weeks. Same for everyone else--and also for us. We have to be just about perfect from here out.

FYI, just heard where Herbstreit included us in a "coin toss" with Washington and Michigan as the #4 team in the playoffs. And before that concerns anyone, keep in mind that those other two teams are still undefeated...

A 11-1 Michigan, or 11-1 OSU would get in over an 11-1 Cards if Cards win out)
Houston killed the Cards chances.

Only chance the Cards have is if FSU and Pitt beat Clemson, and the Cards win out.
I can see a possible FSU upset of Clemson, but not Pitt.

Houston didn't kill Cards chances. Clemson did.
Sorry, I don't think the Cards are dead and Houston losing to Navy is a potential problem down the road.

An 8 team playoff would solve so much of this stuff. Just like us getting a do over at Clemson, it ain't happening though.

Yeah but Ohio state and Michigan can't both be undefeated.. and depends if one team is blown out by the other or if it is one of those instant classics

Cards lost straight up to Clemson, and so they LOST, period. They got beat in difficult circumcances, but they got beat. It is what it is. Unless the Pope or Allah or Mother Nature intervenes, it is OVER.

4 team playoffs lead to 8 team playoffs lead to 16 team playoffs lead to, lead to, ad infinitum..

Play our best, Louisville, and win the Orange Bowl against a pretty good team.

The Cards had control of their own destiny until they came up short in the Clemson game in a difficult environment.

Now the Cards have to show they have Resolve. They need to show they are the best team that was never selected for the CFP.

We know the Cards lost at Clemson. Thanks but you don't know that the Cards by winning out impressively and probably having the Heisman Trophy winner won't end up in the playoff. Plenty of knowledgeable college football people think it's possible. Lots of football left.

Odds are definitely against it happening but 2 teams from the same division in the SEC played for a title when they chose the best TWO teams in the land. The ACC Atlantic is similarly loaded this year and there are Zero rules saying that 2 teams from the ACC can't be in the playoff.

The Pope need not get involved.
