may be improving over the next three non-conference games. First is Albany (8-2) and then Grand Canyon (11-2) and then, of course uahkay. It would be sweet to win all three of those games but with the “home court advantage” that coRupt gives the kitty cayuts our chances are not all that promising for a win there. My main concern right now is Albany so go Cards.

Albany is now 11-2. Haven't checked any of the others. Looking at their stats, it appears most of the scoring comes from their guards. Common opponents: they beat Bryant by 18, and lost to Memphis by 8.

Playing solid defense and making the extra pass on offense will result in a win.

I think I noticed Albany has a guy shooting well over 50% from the 3 pt line - so containing him will be important.

One weakness we have right now is defensive rebounding. We need King and Adel to step up that part of their game. Albany doesn’t start a player taller than 6-7. Also need to try the zone again. Didn’t work that well against Memphis.

This UofL team is long enough to cause some real issues playing zone if played well. It should create some turnovers off deflections. I agree they need to play it more, but lets give Tubby Smith some credit for how well his team played against the zone. He is a terrific basketball coach.

I think that’s why CDP uses more of a Syracuse type zone rather than the matchup zone used by Rick. Also guys like King and Snider had difficulties with the matchups being in the wrong places at the wrong time. Give CDP kudos for recognizing that.

Heck Rick only won what three games against UK i think? Not for sure so to expect a rookie coach like David to go on the road to Courrupt and pull a win out is asking and wishing for alot. Could happen but don't see it if the game was at the yum then highly likley.

Just curious, but what advantage do you see UL having over UK and vice versa??

Within the first 7 minutes, Spalding, Mahmoud, & Adel will all have 2 fouls. Then expect to see # 34 thug Jones come out of the stands and tackle Snider. Game over.

Just curious, but what advantage do you see UL having over UK and vice versa??

IMO Cards have the edge in experience (natch) and 3 pt. shooting. On a neutral court, I would say FT shooting, but the hostile crowd negates that. Your guys have more individual talent, coaching and the home crowd on their side. Both squads will be a lot better in a month or so.

CDP is probably counting on his senior players to provide the difference but I think he has to realize that we need the energy that Perry, Nwora and Sutton seem to bring. Not sure that Snider and McMahon can match up athletically, which is why I hope Q plays within himself.
