from The Athletic Jan 19:

Dana O'Neil answering mailbag:

How many of the following 15 teams will have a new head coach next year: Stanford, Cal, Albany, South Florida, Louisville, Saint Joseph’s, Georgetown, St. John’s, Western Kentucky, Ole Miss, Green Bay, Little Rock, Bucknell, Incarnate Word, New Mexico State?

Dana:
Let’s go sort of from high to low. Jerod Haase (Stanford), Mark Fox (Cal), Kermit Davis (Ole Miss) and Patrick Ewing (Georgetown) are, in my estimation, done. St. John’s just beat UConn, and has won two in a row. There’s enough talent for a turnaround, so not ready just yet to call it in on Mike Anderson. Louisville is the problem. It’s a disaster, not just in the win/loss column but in the red/black columns. The Yum! Center is empty, which means that program is hemorrhaging money but I’m still not sure athletic director Josh Heird is the type to pull the plug after one year, though the catch is: That pool will be silly with good candidates.
