Christmas is rapidly approaching.
Do you have that shopping done yet?
Have you had some homemade egg nog?
Heard from your brother (who is prone to forget)
Hey! We're almost done with 2021.
That's a cause for celebration
What a crazy year at UofL.
(And I hope it's finally done.
Resignings, viruses, suspensions and turmoil.
It's enough to drive one mad.
It'd be nice to have it all go away in 2022.
But I doubt that wish can be had.
Despite the havoc and craziness
There are still some wonderful things
Let's look at a few of those..
And see what kind of smile it brings!
We are back to attending athletic events .
Without many limitations or restrictions.
We are having actual live press conferences
Less confusing Covid policy directions.
Field Hockey had a great season
And men's soccer did, too.
Malik Cunningham gave us lots of thrills.
Watching what he could do.
And how about Volleyball!!
What an amazing, exciting run !!
And a #3 women's basketball team.
Showing how it get it done.
I decided not to include a massive list
Of posters in this year's entry.
But you've been great and provided so much though.
And even been complementary.
A special thanks to to Ty
For getting a Women's sports forum (Hooray !!!!)
And asking me to be part
. You should read it every day !
I wish you a Merry Christmas
and a hopeful New Year.
A chance to cheer, and brag and celebrate.
Your life, and sports and just being here.
Remember those who have suffered.
And please do what you can to aid.
Try a little kindness.
You won't be dismayed.
And now I give my busy fingers a break.
For at least a couple of days.
