The ACC is is truly EMBARRASSING and OVERATED this season

What you're saying in lieu of or in addition to data is you like the "eye test." That's inherently subjective unless you have some sort of way to ground it in objectivity, e.g., a panel of evaluators, blind samples, repetition, etc.

SEC fans see beauty in the SEC when no one else does. You're never gonna get anywhere with that type of analysis.

"Elite program," my a$$...

IMO you settled this earlier. The ACC isn't the be all end all of college basketball and the SEC isn't the black plague.

I don't have an official statistic for this, but when you pit supporters and detractors of inputs in an argument, my experience says the truth almost always lies somewhere in the middle.

You're making this way more complicated than it needs to be. Think of it like this. I laid 5 sets of data in front of you that completely detailed 5 different basketball games. Complete data and thorough data, but otherwise blind data. Nothing organic, just the numbers and records. A statistical paradise for a numbers nerd. Among the sets of data is the greatest college basketball game ever played. An instant classic that fans will always remember and will tell their kids about. Would you be able to separate that game from the other 4?

On the other hand, I can give you the tapes of the games for your viewing pleasure. Then you can pick out the game that will live on through history. I know which option I would find more value in.

It is my opinion that sports is an organic experience. A contest isn't played on paper or in the stat book. I would rather watch myself and decide what's awesome. That stimulates me. So for me, the eye test wins every time.

By the way, there was very little beauty in the sec a month ago. But watching the gamecocks practically carry frank Martin off the floor the other night was beautiful

Well, I'll just use the same lame statement that was used by many of BBN the year (2013) that the Cardinals last won the NC.

With slight modification...'.any time the SEC gets 3 teams in the EE, 'it must be a down year for CBB'.:rolleyes:'

It's pipe smoking time! Beam me up Scottie!

Naw, just kidding, time to take hats off and give props, cause the fact is: 3 out of 8 and that can not be denied. The next question to be answered will it be 2, or 1 in the FF and will one take the NC? Anybody care to speculate on that? Could uk get #9?

Enough of the "conference" banter. It means very little until the end and then you can brag about what conference won??? This is about UNC vs UK, two storied programs. It's not ACC vs SEC. You think Tarheels players are trying to win for the conference? It's team first, then family, then fans, then State and then and only then maybe the conference. Conference affiliation is important to athletic directors...

I'm not pulling for UNC except to beat the kitties. I'm pulling for the underdog... Gonzaga.

I like the Ducks......only fitting since its been like 78 years since their last one.o_O:cool:
