I was at the game Saturday. Every fan on both sides was pleasant and polite in the lots, concourse and in the seats. I'm sure there were people who might have had an unpleasant experience but we did not.

Yeah, the Louisville fans were all very gracious, and I enjoyed myself. But good lord ya’ll have to do something about the entry gates. They had one person at each gate wanding every single ticketholder who came through. There was literally a crowd of 10,000 people standing outside the tunnel getting their tickets scanned at a rate of one person every 10 seconds. It was unreal. We were in line at 6:15 and didn’t get to our seats until 7:15. Missed the first five minutes of the game. You know that’s not normal, right? I’ve never had that happen at any other venue.

The line at my gate was extremely long and somebody told us to go down to the next gate where there was only about 20 people in line.

All this “security” is a joke. The wanding is halfass.

All we’re doing is making a potential “bad guy” take longer to get in.

Along with a lot of people who paid premium to see a game.

And we wonder why attendance is in decline?

“Fans” shouldn’t drink beer up until kickoff and expect not to stand in line with other “Fans”. In other words, wrap up your party say 30-45 minutes early, and get in your seat.

I’ve never had an issue at the gate but I’m there to watch football instead of seeing how much I can drink.

I was at the gate at around 6:20. Kickoff was at 7:00

The security really is a joke. The crowd at gate 5 (gate near cabooses) was so mob like that the one ticket scanner could not keep up so people were just walking in without getting their ticket scanned. Hell, i saw some people walki right by the guy wanding people. It really has become a terrible experience.

The security is just sugar coating to protect against lawsuits if something bad happens. Not a slam at PJ, it’s pretty much the same everywhere. I went to the UL/Wake game. No complaints at all, in fact loved that I could get a drink and be back in my seat within 10 minutes.

Crazy thing about this series is that the Away team has won the most games. UofL has a better record in Commonwealth against the Cats then they do at home and vice-versa.

Part of the problem at UofL is most of the parking is at the south and east of the stadium, which funnels most people through the south gates. There are no gates at all on the west side of the stadium due to the train tracks. There is only one gate on the north side due to the indoor practice facility. I do not know how to remedy this without spending a lot of money.

(wide pedestrian bridges over the tracks?)

That really is a crazy stat. Hopefully we break that trend next season!
