rick stansbury has been named as HC at WKU. He was previously the HC at Miss. State and won the SEC regular season in 2004. Most recently he has served as an asst coach at Texas A&M. He was born in Kentucky so he is returning to his roots.

I was watching the A & M game the other night and there was a guy on their bench and I kept thinking I have seen that guy before and I thought he had been a HC. This jogged my memory, it was Stansbury. The guy recruited really well at State. So well I often wondered if there was something going on. This is a good hire by Western in my opinion.

All of Battletown/Wolf Creek in Meade County (my home as well) is really happy for Rick Stansbury and his family and glad to see him back coaching in the Bluegrass.

He's 122-102 SEC record. I agree an excellent hire for WKU and him being from the state could really help recurting.

Didn't he coach at Murray State (Replaced by Mick Cronin), Before he left for Mississippi State???
