We are what we are. Bad defense, no running game, young guys getting a lot of playing time and a once in a lifetime QB. We still have a lot in from of us and quite frankly these will be the last few games where we will ever be able to see a Heisman QB playing for UofL. It will be fun seeing the young guys continue to improve. We best enjoy what we got and where we are going because if basketball is any indication, you never know when your program might end up in the gutter.

So here's what I'm looking forward to:
- watching Lamar
- Puma Pass getting some reps
- some more aggressive defense from Sirmon
- possible return of Dae Williams
- youth movement on defense
- tailgating on some cool, fall days
- going to Tallahassee and watching us win the "loser leave town" match with FSU
- beating U.K.

I'm not that sure whether Lamar is being used that much differently or that teams have figured out how to better defend him. You play a contain form of defense and force him to pass...

Is it set in stone that Lamar is not coming back next year? If he were to come back the sky is the limit next year.

Petrino in his presser today said that his intention has been to run the ball more but given that we are oftentimes playing from behind he feels compelled to throw the ball. To paraphrase "we feel like we have to score every time we have the ball" (because our defense can't stop the other team)

I think you hit the nail on the head. They figured him out. He’ll break loose occasionally but to for those consistent Long gains. We’ve got to develop a running game besides LJ and a consistent passing game. We need our O line to grow up

Well, that could be true but unless I'm mistaken, every game starts at 0-0.

Nice post op.Yeah, embrace the team, the college atmosphere that was pre- Clemson, watch this team hopefully get better and ready for the next run...whenever it happens.Taking lumps as a team and a fanbase, is part of it.Cheering on this team is about all we can do.

Saturday is make or break, will see a lot of fans being even more down should we lose, honestly can see it going either way.

Boston College has a really good defense against the pass, but not so good against the run. Time to turn Action Jackson loose and let him do what he does best. Read option - read option - read option - pass - repeat after me - read option - read option - read option - pass.

We have to simply outscore everyone to win. Relying on the defense is not a good approach to take since our defense is just not good. Unleash the Heisman Trophy winner and let him do his thing. Got to score a lot to win. Period.

Bobby 1.0 used to love getting in to shootouts with teams, of course we usually came out on top so that probably helped
