Let's have a little wager (no funds involved - just bragging rights). We're currently 11 games in, sitting at 8-3. Before the ACC Tournament we will have played 31 games. What will our record be? You don't have to name individual wins and losses, just our record prior to the ACC Tournament beginning. I'll go with a record of 21-10. That's as optimistic as I can be, hope it's better but the schedule is a killer!

21-10 is also my best optimistic guess. I hope we go 10-3 out of conference and 11-7 in the ACC. That would be an amazing record considering this ridiculously tough schedule.

i started the season thinking 18-13 and still think we will be close to that, but will go 19-12 and a 10 seed in the tourney. We have 2 ACC stretches that are BRUTAL!

Before the season: 16-15, NIT-bound
Now: 20-11, NCAA-bound, 6-12 seed (range depending on any bad losses during conference play)

The good news is that this teams seems to always show up (so far). Going into the season I was looking at 30 point losses to the Dukes UNCs etc. I now see them being competitive in those games and perhaps even stealing one.

Doing some research on the remaining schedule, I discovered the ACC is the only P5 conference that has every team currently with a winning record. It's going to get brutal in conference play. I'm perhaps being overly optimistic, but I like this team. I think they finish 14-6, 22-9 overall.

After Syracuse last year, if we go 19-12 with a top 5 SOS, we are in. But I get what you are saying.

19-12. I think it’ll probably get ugly with some close losses leading to confidence skids. But they’ll surge a bit late in the season. NIT.

20-11 with a win over ky.. Make a nice run in the ACC tournament (finally) get a 5 - 8 seed.

21-10 ... that 4 game stretch beginning with the home game against UNC and ending with the home game against Duke is pretty brutal!

I never predicted a won-lost record in the preseason, just that we'd finish as a bubble team on the outside. Something like 18-13.

Now, I gotta add a win or two to that total and an NCAA bid, barely. That's a good season for Mack with this group of players...

You're just an optimistic kinda guy, BC_1978.

You're a legend in your own mind.

Fun to look back on the predictions. I'm feeling good about my 21-10 projection and hope the Cards prove me wrong in a positive way!

I said 19-12, I would’ve been happy with that, but now I wouldn’t. We have a tough February coming up schedule wise.

Those who went with 19-12 are looking good going into Saturday. Can’t see us beating Virginia.

Not to pick on one guy, but does this mean "unhappy"?...
Not unhappy, I just don’t have the expectations that I did earlier. Good but not great season is fine for a patch up team like we have.

I've rated it as a good season as well. There was obviously more promise a month ago.

If Mack gets these guys past the first weekend (Sweet 16), I'd up that assessment to great or nearly so depending on the teams we face. Like it or not--I don't particularly--how good your season is will be judged in the next few weeks...
