Much needed bounce back for Louisville tonight. The Cards made open shots and that’s the difference for this team.

I believe the made shots can be partially credited to some of the lineup combinations you saw on the floor. Louisville is going to be at their best when playing one big, one or two forwards, and two or three guards.

The Cards don’t rebound well enough when playing two bigs, so there’s no clear advantage. They’re best when having one big where they give guards room to operate and the spacing is much better.

Matt Cross needs 25+ mpg. He’s aggressive, mixes it up on both ends, and is a fantastic shooter. I don’t think there’s another player on the roster who can match what he brings to the table.

Sam Williamson got on the right track tonight. Efficient 13 points and didn’t force much outside of one shot. Team needs him to be the best version of himself, but everyone knows that.

I think the offense moves the best when two point guards are on the floor. Faulkner, West, and Ellis all did great things at different times tonight.

Once Ellis slows down, he’s going to be fantastic. You see flashes. He’s another guy who brings things to the table that nobody else does on the roster. Paint touches galore.
