Yesterday I toured the Planet Fitness Kueber Center, formerly Lil Yum Center, and wanted to share some photos and tidbits from the tour.

The building hosts men's basketball, women's basketball and lacrosse. It's a gorgeous $15M facility that's only a few years old. UofL is looking to upgrade and renovate it already.

Walz and Mack both have massive offices that look directly on to each team's practice floor. When I went to UofL everyone shared ONE practice court. Now each team has their own facility.

Lots of Donovan Mitchell, Terry Rozier and Montrezl Harrell on the walls as UofL's big three in the NBA.

I loved seeing all the references to UofL's 2013 National Championship. Publicly, signs may have been removed, but its prominent (as it should be) within the halls of the facility.

The kitchen area is nicer than any room in my house. It's a college student's dream with healthy food and junk food for days and its all just open to the players and support staff.

I was told that the court at the Yum Center this fall would be the same as the practice court you see below that features the dunking bird.

I saw Malik Williams and Dwayne Sutton walking around. Beat them both in a quick game of knockout. (Okay, I did see them. The last part didn't happen.) I saw on twitter that Damion Lee was also in the building yesterday, but he must've stayed away once he saw me on the court.

Final takeaway is that our student-athletes have a great setup. Everything you need, any resource, it's all there for the taking. If you have the right attitude and you're willing to work, UofL has everything in place for you to be successful.
