Blowhard who stepped out and talked crap about things he had no idea about. Thought because "his name was on the stadium" and that he engineered a sweetheart house deal for Bevin, that everyone would back him up. When they didn't, he skipped away like a schoolboy bitch rather than answer follow up questions about his idiotic statements.
He grossly overestimated his worth to UofL in the eyes of others when compared to TJ and fell in to the classic trap of believing that because you've been super successful in business, it makes you an expert in everything. Happy to see him get spanked.

I don't know the story regarding the rift between Jurich and Schattner and I don't care. Jurich has done more for the UofL athletic program than Schattner has in spite of his money. I know his brand name is on the stadium but that's easy enough to change. Piss on him. He didn't even go to UofL. He went to Ball State and lives in Indiana.

I don't think TJ needs to worry about Schnatter. His (as well as Pitino's) concern should be David Grissom - that guy takes no prisoners and, quit school because of recess.
Hearing that there is probably an indictment forthcoming for Ramsey - hope Jurich doesn't get caught up in it.
Thinking David Grissom is behind Schnatter's departure from the athletic association, and maybe the board of trustees if he goes ape again at a board meeting.

That's the question I have now when I heard the news a little bit ago. IF the name of the football stadium is removed, I have full confidence that Jurich will find a new name for it.
Papa has the naming rights to the stadium until 2040 or so. Can't just go up there with a paintbrush and get to work. My guess is if a major sponsor came along, that contract could be bought out and changed. But it wouldn't be w/o the Papa's OK unless he has breached something in their contract...
Good article... As much as Schnatter now looks to have been rogue and unsupported, it would be in U of L athletics best financial interests to help the guy save face. He's got no one in his corner, and IMO you don't wanna leave him there. There's too much money in his bank account, and it's too easy to turn this around and maybe even get more of it.
I don't know how that's easily done, perhaps Jurich and Schnatter agreeing to meet behind closed doors. Even if what's said is nothing more than...

Correction Schnatter lives in Anchorage. You can easily google it and look for the helicopter pad...

I stand corrected. I thought he lived in Jefffersonville IN, but now I think I might have had that mixed up with him going to Jeffersonville HS back in the late 70's. IDK. Getting old sucks.
