There's really just 3 very good teams in the ACC this year. UVA, Duke, and UNC. Clemson was decent but not world beating. The rest were 2nd tier at best.

ACC "depth" has certainly been lacking the last couple of years.

I think the respect for the league is warranted overall in general - with a lot of traditionally tough programs and quality coaching - but there is no doubt the middling teams have not been so great recently.

I agree the ACC is not as powerful top to bottom as in past years.
They are the only conference with three legitimate final four level teams.
