Those who questioned UL’ s early 5-0 start need to do themselves a favor and take a look at how those opponents are playing now.

GT beat UNC last night, and IU was within a few points of Penn State late in the 4th quarter before an il-advised interception halted their momentum. BC continues to prove they are a dangerous after a close loss to FSU. NCST beat Clemson, ND played OSU closer than anyone yet.

I am not suggesting any of our opponents thus far, other than ND are worthy of top 10 consideration, but each one other than PItt, are formidable and better than what they appeared to be early on.

UVA gave Miami all it wanted after its upset of UNC, and VT seems to have improved after a horrible start. Just saying, UL’s 7-1 record is as respectable as anyone else given the parity we see in college football.

Being 7-1 is excellent anywhere because you are competing against teams that all have the same resources. Every week is a potential loss. Everyone has a Pitt kind of performance. The key is to only have 1 of those.

If they don’t bring it the next 2 weeks they will get beat.
