I've been saying all season there's a bias against Louisville and today proves it. There can be no serious argument to defend Louisville receiving a 8 seed.

I'm becoming more and more disillusioned with college sports. If I weren't an old man with 30+ years of love for Louisville sports, I would leave it for good.

But I will once again recover from another punch in the gut and hope the Cards prove the assholes wrong. It is a motivator that's for sure.

And don't think it's just men's basketball. The bias exists for Football as well though not as extreme.

I’ve cut back on my beer drinking, but I popped a cold one right at 6pm. The Cards are back in the dance, let’s party, I thought. The celebration was short lived.

Effing sucks. I think we might be one and done.

I think that was the plan. If not the 1st round, make it almost impossible for the Cards to make the sweet 16.

There is a bias and it runs deep with many people. There's never any accountability so they have no fear screwing UofL anytime they want.

Kinda blows my mind. I guess they were just so focused on forcing us to the Lexington site they didnt care about seed line. Creighton is gonna be freaking tough. The second best Big East team vs the second best ACC in the first round, I don't know what universe I am living in.

Check this out.

Louisville's game against Creighton Thursday is the first tip off of the tournament. Now some could ask why did they choose a game from the South region to start the madness? Wouldn't a game in the East regional make more sense?

Yes it would, but if the motivation of those on the committee who made Louisville a 8 seed in the first place, also wants Louisville out of the tournament as soon as possible, what a better way than have them playing the first game against the 2nd place Big East team Creighton?

They're trying to rid Louisville from the tournament before many people even start watching the games on TV. Doesn't that seem like a motive to have the Cards playing the first game?

I know it sounds outlandish but as each hour goes by after the bracket was revealed, it's getting harder to understand how this is happening to Louisville. Is it mere coincidence or just paranoid conspiracy theory?

All I know is that after the horror of the past two seasons and then the exuberance of a massive turnaround that defied anyone's projections, the Louisville basketball program still continues to experience weird and unexplainable things like this #8 seeding. It just never seems to end, even when we win 27 out of 34 games.

F you Bubba. Clown ass AD gets his school in and then screws the Cards. Totally indefensible to put Cards as a 8 seed. UNC is going nowhere with Hubert Davis and I can’t wait til the Bill Bellichek experiment implodes.
Took their baseball team down today to get the series. As happy as I was about that,I'm downright gleeful Mac's boys made their trip home a little longer since around 605 tonight.

I have been saying this all season long. Just like during the game Dick Vitale was blaming our record on a “down” year in the ACC. Talking about we haven’t beaten a ranked team in months. Funny how when Uk and Fat Cal was running up all those wins in a weak Sec no one was questioning UK’s record. He pretty much said that the ACC schools don’t want to compete in the new NIL era and that is the reason the league is down. But is it Louisville’s fault that four of the ACC’s longtime coaches all decided to retire all within two years of each other, because they didn’t want to deal with the new NIL deals.

My opinion is the SEC and Big Ten expanded because the media wanted them to expand. In return schools have to start investing in basketball. The pay back is we will load up the brackets with SEC and Big Ten teams. Having 14 SEC teams completely screwed up the brackets. A losing conference record almost always put you on the bubble.

It doesn’t explain Creighton or Louisville being screwed. Memphis makes zero sense other than their early season wins.

They valued Quad 1 wins and losses over everything else. The pre-conference games determine the rest of the year. It determined Louisville fate. They couldn’t accumulate enough Quad 1 wins.

Louisville is playing at noon because it is the number one TV market and it will get eyeballs. It doesn’t get down to trying to knock Louisville out early. Strictly eyeballs.

This is a TV product and the TV executives have heavily invested in the SEC and Big Ten. That is the new reality.

It could be both....knock out the Cards early and for the eyeballs (#!Market)
