NFL watch: Three former Cards cut

All 32 NFL teams cut their rosters from 90 down to 75 on or before September 1st. Three former Cards were cut during this cycle - Seattle cut their 7th round pick from 2012: Greg Scruggs. Detroit cut free agent Roy Philon. And Tampa Bay cut free agent Dominique Brown.

As I have mentioned before, these are the "bad" cuts. First, second or third year players that survive these cuts stand a good chance of either making the active roster or the 10 player practice squad when the rosters are trimmed down to 53 (plus the 10 practice squad players) this weekend.

Also of note is that the Chicago Bears placed RB/ST performer Senorise Perry on injured reserve with a foot injury.
