Newsflash for UK Fans

Moderators. I am dismayed you delete, or edit, my posts when I am just trying to agree with, or discuss facts, with the posters here. I would hope in this venue a level playing field would be established. I do not initiate the topics. I merely discuss them. There is great sports debate here at times. If a poster volunteers a viable concept...isn't someone allowed to courteously expand on, or quantifiably discount it? For example, there is a documented belief UL fans understand the feelings of SEC teams and fans better than the teams do themselves. While I agree this phenomenon is possible, would you agree it is highly unlikely? Therefore, debate is inevitable. I do not insult. I do not address names, even though I do quote other posters. I adhere to all board rules. I am very agreeable, courteous, and offer only documented sports related data. Should I not also be allowed poetic license for the edification of all participants? Regardless of your decision, I had some free time today and it has been my pleasure and a quite enlightening experience to be exposed and educated in how certain ideologies reject all information, regardless of authenticity, if it conflicts with inherent group cultural biases. Best of luck in the future in all sports endeavors.

You get your own house to accept outside opinions, and we will then worry about your thoughts.

Most all of us have been banned from the Kitty Lair for far less.

...The same as UL fans have when after 1.3 seasons they proclaim they are in the best college basketball conference.
Gotta peel back the onion a little... There's a difference between finishing 4th in a 15-team conference (ACC basketball) and near the bottom of a 14-team conference (SEC football). In the latter case, every year.

In one instance, you're materially competing and making the conference better. In the other, you're truly riding coattails. And I doubt you need an example close to home of a school in each case.

UK football plays 2 very important roles in the SEC:

1. UK is a team to get well against. Auburn was 0-2 in SEC play going into the UK game, they came out 1-2 and ended up going to a Bowl with 6 wins.
2. UK helps identify when a coach is really bad or over the hill. Both SEC teams that lost to UK will have new coaches next year. It's not a coincidence.

1. Same Auburn team that beat UL.......I'm sure they thanked you all for helping them get to a bowl game too.

2. And you're right, because the first half of the UL game, I counted 15 posts where you guys wanted Grantham fired. SMH
Glad he made the adjustments that all of you posted and said he should have so that he can lead you to the playoffs next year.

I'm the first to admit that we suck, and that UL played good football this year, but my gosh.......some of you are down right silly with your "so called" logical thinking.

.

This says it all. Congratulations on your counting. You sure know maths. You also sure follow UofL football more than most of us do. I'd feel ashamed if I didn't realize you were a slapdick.

Let's see now . . . what conference was the team we beat in the MCB? Oh yes, I believe it was the $ec. Plus we'll be able to compare the kids we have coming back versus the kids the cayuts have coming back on the last Saturday in November. I'm quite sure you won't like the comparison plus I have to question the logic thinking of a coach that would leave a fairly secure job to to to a job that has a head coach that's on a short leash. And please don't say he left Cincy to go to an $ec school because that simply isn't true . . . oh my mistake . . . an $ec school that simply doesn't measure up to their standards.

GO CARDS - BEAT EVERYBODY!!! God Bless America!!!

You can cherry pick one game or part of a game to prove any point you wanna make. Louisville is 7-2 the last five years against the SEC. Take out the LPT games, and U of L is 2-2 or .500 ball against Auburn, Georgia, A&M, and Florida. How long has it been since LPT played .500 ball against SEC teams of that caliber? Decades?

What FANS say about Grantham or anything may have little to do with reality. I think he's been a damn good coach in his two years here, and he's paid well for that.

There is a vast chasm between the U of L and LPT football programs that you can mask, for example, by simply looking at the scores in games or not accounting for the disastrous effect that K-rag had on the U of L program. It starts with attitude... LPT calls itself a basketball school and won't ever debate it. It's why your football program will never amount to much.

LPT Football: You don't have to tell us...

Sir,
The same as UL fans have when after 1.3 seasons they proclaim they are in the best college basketball conference.
We made that claim when were in the Big East, now we are in the ACC and that is still the case. We did win the Big East and we will win the ACC. Quit worrying about us, not at all good for your blood pressure or ego.
