I know there’s many ways to judge who is the best based on rankings, but the NCAA uses NET and id look and see how they’re doing

Boy for some reason these rankings appear very flawed. No way the ACC doesn’t have more than 3 top 50 teams. If this is what the NCAA is using, it’ll be a way for them to cheat us out of a good seed.

This will be number of teams in the top 50

AAC has 2 top 50 teams, Wichita & Houston. None in the top 30.

ACC has 3 top 50 teams, Duke, Louisville, and Florida.

A10 has 2 top 50 teams, Dayton and VCU

Big 12 has 5 top 50 teams, Baylor, KU, WVU, Texas Tech, and OU

Big East has 6 top 50 teams, Butler, Nova, SH, Marquette, Creighton, GTown

BigTen has 12 top 50 teams (wow), Mich State, OSU, Maryland, Iowa, Rutgers, Penn State, Illinois, Wisconsin, Mich, Purdue, Minnesota, and IU

PAC 12 has 6 top 50 teams, Zona, Oregon, Stanford, Colorado, USC, Wash

SEC has 7 top 50 teams, LSU, UK, Auburn, Ark, Bama, Florida, Miss State

WCC has 3 top 50 teams, Zags, BYU, St Mary

Yeah I think the NET is complete garbage. But many have been saying the ACC would only get 3 in this year.

I find it hard to tell when a conference is down . ACC is beating each other up and it’s because the conference is down. The Big X is doing the same thing, but it’s because their all really good. Very interesting

This is what PARITY does to the ranking and seeding process. There are 68 teams that will be in the tournament, of which some percentage participate by selection and others by conference tournament. This will be the year where I expect very few favorites emerge from their respective conference tournaments, and where the selection Sunday will be the subject of even more second-guessing process than past tournaments.

That’s where I’m confused. All of those Big Ten teams will beat up on each other, but their SOS will rise and they won’t be bad losses. And I find it hard to believe the Big Ten is 24% of the top 50 teams in the country.

Just looking at some of the bubble/bottom teams in the Big Ten...

Ohio State beat Villanova and UK... Then basically got destroyed by their own league.
Michigan beat Gonzaga. They lost by a point to Oregon. Then basically got torched by their league.
Purdue beat Virginia, lost by 3 to FSU... Then got destroyed by their league.
IU destroyed FSU... It looks like their league is preparing to devour them.

IDK... These teams seem to have some good wins, or competitive losses. At this stage, I'd like to see most of them in the Tournament. Just my opinion.

Most of the out of conference games are played early in the year. Some teams get better and some teams get worse. I admit the ACC is down this year but I find it hard to see 7 SEC teams that are that much better.

In regards to the PAC 12 I wouldn’t know because of the time difference I never watch them play. What are they basing the Big East off of what power schools do they play outside of their conference for them to be rated so high?

With the high counts of transfers, guys turning pro early, it's just become more difficult for there to be separation. Feels like nothing more than guessing on brackets.
