NCAA Game 1 ETSU

I'll throw in one more as a reeling Miami Hurricane team takes down #2 seed Alabama 5-3.
Yeah, like the Orphans in the Warriors movie, all these teams still like to "rumble"

Must say I am very happy to eat crow regarding EKjr. I was done with him early on because he was just went up to the plate hacking at the ball. Once he came back from his injury abd settled in he started being a solid batter - not a hacker. The greatly improved approach at the plate has made him our most dangerous guy in the lineup (IMO).
Yeah, I was critical too. He's definitely changed his approach up there. Hell, maybe he just needed the warmer weather (like last year). Lol

Well then, it makes zero sense 🙄

It appears that CardX was on to something yesterday. The powers that be are lining their pockets,or so it seems.

Yes Espn2 now. Looks like they’ve updated the app to reflect that change.

By way of explanation, there are 8 regionals with games scheduled for noon and 6pm today (two of the 6pm games are actually scheduled later - one at 7pm and another at 8pm) and 8 more regionals with games scheduled for 3pm and 9pm.

I think there is a misconception about umpires being overruled. If the umpire feels he made the right call, he can simply stand by his decision and the head umpire will not overrule him. Yes, in college the 1st and 3rd base umpires generally have the responsibility of fair/foul calls down the lines on a homerun. However, with now the implementation of the video replay, generally an umpire will agree knowing either video will confirm/correct his call or video is inconclusive and the call stands. Remember I think all umpires ultimately want the call to be correct.

I agree; they are not perfect, but I think they manage these games as effectively as possible.
