For the first time in a long old time, March Madness is back in the 502. It’s not March Saddness!
It starts on Saturday!
We’re locked into a bye for the ACCT and are a lock for the tournament. We’re fighting for a higher seed and everyone knows we’re dangerous and it’s not like previous times. Think of this last decade
2016 We self imposed a ban
2017 was the last time we had a real March we had hope.
2018 NIT and an interim coach
2019 We made it, but we knew we were limited
2020 COVID cancelled our best chance to win the ACCT and make a run
2021 COVID pauses ruined the year
2022 Chris Mack was gone and that team gave up. We were done before New Years
2023-2024 we were dead before the first game of the year.
Think about it guys?
1. We’re going to be discussing our draw and seeding more and more, we have a team that can make a run.
2. We have the BEST PG in the nation, a true March star in the making
3. We have a bye for our conference tournament and have a chance to win the dang thing
4. We will get to watch the selection Sunday show with excitement!
5. We get to fill out brackets and pencil our cards all the way through!
6. The only potential sadness is actually losing a game and saying bye to this team, no scandals or illnesses
7. We can go to bars for conference tournaments and the NCAA tournament games for 3-4 weeks and not be embarrassed
8. And we know that this is just the start, we’ll be better and better and we’ll be BACK!
I’m going to enjoy this March, win or lose, rain or shine, because I know what we’ve lost out on for a decade.
