Making a statement to the NCAA at the CWS...

I would love to see UofL make a major statement at the CWS. Have Coach McDonnell express his support of Pitino and the basketball program and talk about how the NCAA is broken. If we win the NC, do the dogpile, go over to our fans to celebrate for a few minutes and then leave.

Don't accept the trophy, don't even shake hands with Emmert or any NCAA official. Let them look stupid there on National TV.

Sure the media will trash us but who cares, they do that anyway. Make a statement that we are fighting and give the big middle finger to the NCAA.

Ummm, just IMO...let's leave the baseball program out of all of this, support them, and let them enjoy their success free from any entanglement of any other program's issues.

Normally I would agree but they are the only one can truly make a statement. The NCAA hates this entire university, today was not an attack just on the basketball program, it was an attack on the entire university.

I think showing unity between the athletic teams would be a good thing and I don't think any of us would mind McDonnell telling Emmert to take his trophy and shove it up his a**.

Lets make sure if we're going down that the NCAA is coming down with us.

McDonnell is the only coach of the big 3 sports that doesn't have a somewhat sullied reputation....let's keep it that way.

If we don't accept the trophy we wouldn't get a national championship. Let the kids celebrate, and then win football and basketball titles for the trifecta in 18. Live rent free in the NCAA's heads for the 2017-18 year as we accept their top flight trophies with a smile on our face. That is the best revenge. Then we win our appeal and they don't know what to do with themselves.

We would still be the National Champions, whether or not the NCAA likes it or not. Who else would they give it to? It's not vacated and they can't give it to the second place team.

Accepting them with a smile on our face is giving the NCAA the ultimate victory, that we just have to take their medicine and accept it. We need to embarrass the NCAA publicly.
