If you have Direct TV the game is on channel 209. I am really curious to see Imari Berry and how good she is.

In the first quarter we have played 8 or 9 players so far. We are playing with a lot of hustle maybe that is why we are playing so many players. Maybe he is using this as a game he can see what players are the best in tough competition. Also I don’t care how good Betts is or how tall she is she is doing a lot of over the back and also a lot of fouling.

He might just wear them down with the pace. Betts doesn’t look like she’s very athletic just big. Will see

Looks like Walz has given the green light on shooting 3's? There's been several questionable shots, with a couple going in.

UCLA up by 3 at the half Cards had a couple of breakdowns to end the half. Not bad since we have 9 freshmen on this team. We are playing a lot of players and there hasn’t been a let down. We really have some ballers on this team he could substitute this team the same way all year.

Imari Berry has been off from the 3 point line I think she should go for the mid range shot until she gets in a groove.

Looks like we're guard heavy for sure. Going to be tough against big front courts.

Like the handle of these new guards but they take some questionable shots.

One thing about women's hoops is the officiating is horrible. I don't guess the NCAA will ever do something about it?

Year in, year out it's the same thing.

I wonder where our 6’6” player that red shirted last year is? I would have thought she would have been ready this year. As much as we have been substituting this game if she is not in she must still need work.

UCLA up by 4 to end the 3rd quarter I hope we aren’t running out of gas. I would love to see us push back early in the 4th.

Cards are definitely lacking at the forward spot.

Cards needed a cupcake or two to start the season. There's good potential if the shooting is good, but there wasn't much cohesiveness today against UCLA. It was take the first open shot in the 1st half.

Lost by 7 but it’s not a bad loss considering we have 9 freshmen and UCLA has their top 4 players from last year. They have four players averaging in double figures. Give this team more time together and they could be really good.

Really wish we could get a TALL center. That's been our weakness for years. Teams with big centers hurt us.

Betts was obviously the difference, once again UL WBB does not have any size to matchup with those opponents who have that large interior presence.

Betts is skilled, but she never left her feet when rebounding, blocking shots or scoring. Until Jeff can bring in “an aircraft carrier” to neutralize these large women, we will struggle winning any more championships. When I refer to size, I mean at least 6’5” and some weight to resist getting pushed out of the lane.

Just to be fair we were missing Jada Curry who is our point guard and double digit scorer. We were also missing our 6’6” red shirt freshmen both are recovering from injuries.

What I saw was a team with a lot of potential that fell into the typical traps of a young team, especially without Curry in the lineup. Young guards tend to drift out of the offensive set and try to makeup deficits by forcing things and then things breakdown from there. Exhibit A being the end of the 1st half turnover that led to UCLA getting the corner 3 to end the half.

I have seen Kiki Jefferson the point guard for UCLA play several times and she is one of the top guards in the country. Towards the end of our game the announcers were saying the 2 games that were played surprised everyone because they were a lot closer than what was expected. I like this team and we should see the full potential of this team when everyone is healthy. I just hope they can build a good chemistry with so many good players.

I was impressed by how well we played against a team that has their top 4 scorers back. They all average double figures and they are a team who the talking heads feel has a legit shot at a title. I was also glad to see how excited our bench was rooting on their teammates. Talent is one thing chemistry is another.

There are just not that many bigs with that level of talent.
