End of first quarter Cards up 21-15. This is a weird game it feels like a practice game.

UofL’s defense just isn’t very good. They get beat off the dribble, very little help defense, slow to rotate and no shot blocking threat.

Halftime we are up by 9 but we are having trouble extending our lead past that. The majority of the game we have had 4 freshmen on the court.

It is very hard to watch. Defense looks like they have never practiced it. So many in the paint moments by opponents. They have run some offensive sets, but.... No pretty.

Does anyone have any information on Imafidon the 6’5” redshirt freshman? One of our biggest weakness is we don’t have size. One would think that at 6’5” she could be a factor.

In think Hardy is better. CJW doesn’t think either one is ready.
Curry pulls up on a break away layup holding her hamstring. NOT good. Notre Dame was looking like a butt-kicking; w/o Curry, it could be very bad.

Every 4th quarter we collapse that is something the coaches have to solve because it is on them. It still looks like we are experimenting with our lineup.

It's not just the players but coach Walz who is failing in these 4th quarter collapses. It's just been an odd season for this team.

Roberts to solid and can just make shots. I don’t understand the 4th qtr breakdown; but, will gladly escape with a win no matter what.

These 4th quarter collapses are going to catch up with us. I don’t understand how we can lead by double in most of these games and then almost lose at the end. This is something the coach has to address. I give him a pass to some extent because we have 9 freshmen but even that how can you lead for 3 quarters with 9 freshmen and collapse in the 4th every game.

Is it the coaching strategy, or players in the game at the wrong time or what. It is a disturbing pattern at the least.

SMU shot 25 FTs; UL shot 13, of which 4 were intentional in the last 30 seconds of the game. I have seen a lot of poorly officiated ACC WBB Games, but this one was the most one-sided that I have seen in a long time.

UL was called for 18 Fouls, while SMU was only whistled for 13, including the last 3 intentionals.

These 4th quarter performances have become predictable and while some came against some formidable opponents; these last 2 have been against teams that are not worthy of these challenges.

The breakdown is indicative of a young team, but in this instance two of our fifth year players are part of the issue.

It’s called growing pains. This team is not as good as nearly all of Jeff’s teams have been, simply because great young players like Taj, Izela, Imari and Mackenly are all playing 10+ minutes per game. Tonight in Izela’s and Taj’s case, they played much more than that (24 and 35 minutes respectively). That experience is going to pay off - it just might not be this year when the payoff happens.
