This game again shows me that Kelsey needs a change up on defense when a team has confidence it can score at will. Remember the FSU game?
Pitt is going to get a lot of open 3's if we can't keep their guards in front of us. I guess coach just doesn't do the zone?

Thought the exact same thing; no one else other than Edwards is contributing to Chucky, and the “matador defense” is very disappointing. 6 consecutive 3s is truly unbelievable, but giving up 2s at the other end explains why we are only up by 6. I hate to say it, but this feels like an upset in the making.
This looks so much like the FSU game when the Seminoles were scoring at will, making tough shots because they were confident.
Cards need to make a defensive adjustment or outscore the Panthers to win this game. Pitt's players are super confident and I can't say the same for Louisville's.

Defense is non-existent right now. Scott needs to shoot about 200 FTs tomorrow.

It just drives me crazy when Waterman shoots a 3. I mean hasn't anyone learned the lesson yet? He makes one and then misses the next six he shoots.
They are not calling walking at all luckily after the Pitt player walked he threw it out of bounds.
Pitt is 16-12 they are playing like their tournament life depends on it.
It's back to the traditional "keep away" from the Cards on loose balls and rebounds. This team has actually been one of the best Cards teams on securing the ball, but not in this game.
Looks like FT's may decide this game as the refs suddenly have decided to blow their whistles. More fouls have been called in the first 7 minutes of the 2nd half than the entire first half.
Louisville is pressing because they're feeling the pressure. Pitt is loose because they can see the Cards are vulnerable.
This little hiccup in the season, probably brought on by the flu, is something the Cards will need to correct. March is not the time to be regressing. Teams are adjusting to what Louisville does and especially on defense, Kelsey needs to adjust or this is what we're going to see from teams going forward.

Chucky sucks and is a choker. He has missed at least 3 FTs that I have seen. Should he even be out there if he can’t handle the pressure and nail FTs?
Considering our guys are still not 100% across the board…they have played a hard, gutsy game. Very little from Traore, Rooths and Waterman as well (your bench). Just gutsy l
This is what top heavy experience buys you. The ability to handle pressure in close games and still close the deal. That and Smith getting a block.
Don't forget we shut them down for 5 minutes late. Really cranked it up and closed out on their shooters. That and the 50 50 balls.
