I don’t get it we beat Clemson by 10 and they are ranked 13 and we are 17. The importance of this is seeding in the tournament. I would like to see the breakdown on who is voting is someone slipping us a Mickey?
Thought the exact same thing; no one else other than Edwards is contributing to Chucky, and the “matador defense” is very disappointing. 6 consecutive 3s is truly unbelievable, but giving up 2s at the other end explains why we are only up by 6. I hate to say it, but this feels like an upset in the making.
This looks so much like the FSU game when the Seminoles were scoring at will, making tough shots because they were confident.
Cards need to make a defensive adjustment or outscore the Panthers to win this game. Pitt's players are super confident and I can't say the same for Louisville's.
It's back to the traditional "keep away" from the Cards on loose balls and rebounds. This team has actually been one of the best Cards teams on securing the ball, but not in this game.
Looks like FT's may decide this game as the refs suddenly have decided to blow their whistles. More fouls have been called in the first 7 minutes of the 2nd half than the entire first half.
Pitt is playing out of their minds. They are also getting every dang break imaginable. Iur guys need to settle down, pass the ball and get some good looks. Agreed - too much dribbling and going 1-1.
Louisville is pressing because they're feeling the pressure. Pitt is loose because they can see the Cards are vulnerable.
This little hiccup in the season, probably brought on by the flu, is something the Cards will need to correct. March is not the time to be regressing. Teams are adjusting to what Louisville does and especially on defense, Kelsey needs to adjust or this is what we're going to see from teams going forward.
Considering our guys are still not 100% across the board…they have played a hard, gutsy game. Very little from Traore, Rooths and Waterman as well (your bench). Just gutsy l
RealVille you were right the foul line made the difference. I’ll take the win it was definitely hard fought. Maybe we should have played a zone because Pitt couldn’t hit anything from out side the last 6 minutes.
Cards once again show their mettle at crunch time and put away the Pitt Panthers. For all their obvious flaws, this Louisville team also has something that even a lot of great talented teams do not and that's team chemistry and dedication to it, especially at crunch time.
