You are correct, ND did a much better job defending both Roberts and Curry on the perimeter, but there is no excuse for any half court offense when focused on getting a good open 3, when you have multiple candidates like Louisville. In truth, Jeff had the girls running the weave and setting multiple picks; there were numerous opportunities for Taj and Jada both to step back for a good look at a 3. Instead, the focus was driving into the paint where ND interior defense was too much to overcome.
I expect Jeff to change his half court offensive strategy going forward and emphasize shooting more 3s, rather than driving inside the paint.
