The fact that I'm actually excited to watch basketball again for the first time in years brings me tears of joy!
After the last few seasons this cannot be overstated. It was absolutely terrible going into every single game expecting a loss.
No excitement. No joy. Already knowing the Cards wouldn't make the post season by December.
Hell, I was writing them off earlier than that - like exhibition time frame early. The last time I was excited for this, I was still in Afghanistan trying to get updates through the ESPN app off my crappy wifi hotspot lol

I understand letting some bumping go, but someone sliding their pivot foot? That's a walk and should be called.
Talk about having the green light to shoot. Hopefully this group will learn not every wide open 3 point shot should be taken.
The defensive intensity is off the charts. I don't think we saw one time this kind of attention to detail on defense the past two seasons.

The defense has been one of the biggest and most welcome surprises so far.
One team only scored 16 points in the 1st half...and it wasn't the Cards. Whew!
I don't think fans of other teams can truly understand how good it is to see the Cards play like this.
We want the rivalry back. Its good for the state, its good for college basketball
We have a lot of shooters but I don't think anyone is an elite shooter. Smith may be but he takes some very questionable shots.

Against good defensive teams with size we may struggle to get good 3 point shots. This team will go as far as its defense takes it and that may be deep into post season play.
