Looks like Duke is hot from three and we can't hit the broad side of the barn in Cameron, just like the last time we played there (29%). Let's see how it plays out.

Donovan Mitchell looks to be ready to play tonight. 7 early points.
Damn we have a lot balls smacked out of our hands inside.

The announcers are doing a great job of calling a basketball game instead of talking about our decision to self ban ourselves from the tournament.

Mitchell seems like the only one with a sence of purpose. It just doesn't seem right season is over basically.

Wish they would show a little more fight but you can't complain considering the blow the university screwed these kids. and this city's fans big ! Good luck Cardinal players may better thing happen ahead for you guys. CARDS FOR LIFE i'm checking out for the season.

I think Lee is trying to do too much, he needs to let the game come to him.

We're down by 11 at half but we are hurting ourselves with forcing bad shots and way out of sync on defense.

He has seems to be/get off balance a lot in the last few games to me. Same with Lewis. I guess that is a result of both feeling like they have to carry the scoring load. But I don't think they do. Just do their part, and run the offense (pass) to allow others to be in position to make plays as well. As someone said earlier, a lot of one-on-one play going on.

This is CRP time! Can he keep this team focused on an ACC reg season crown. The story is not written.

At the risk of being called out by posting before the game is over, I can't help but say it's the same crap in these road games against good teams. We can't make 3's or close in shots. It's truly unbelievable and it's as frustrating as anything I see on the court. Had the Cards made some of those shots it would be a total different thing. But, it seems like we only shoot well on the road when we're playing the NIT bound ACC teams.

Duke's not playing some great defense. Lee and Lewis have missed open 3's and Lee can't make any of his drives to the goal. Nanu can't seem to hold onto the ball. And of course while this is going on, the ball moves around like a pinball machine right into Duke's hands for a easy basket. We block a shot, it leads to a layup. We knock the ball away and it leads to a dunk. And then we do get a fast break we miss the layup or lose the ball.

I watched both games Duke lost at home and it was good shooting that done them in. If we don't pull a shooting display like we did at Virginia Tech, I don't see us winning this game. Maybe we should try more to go inside which I thought we would because we have a size advantage, but is those guys can't hold onto the ball that's not going to work either. The one time we got a put back in by Stockman, Johnson of course had to interfere.

Just a typical road game against good teams we've seen this season.

Now, hopefully we come back in the 2nd half and some of you can call me out for posting early. I'll take it!

Win or lose, I love this team and my heart ****ing aches for what could've been for Damien and Trey.

All Duke had to do that last three minutes was shoot FT's. Also, the basketball Gods were cruel to the Cards in this game. Too many lucky breaks in a close game. That shot that went in when the ball came loose was total BS. Then right there at the end Thorton making that shot when the shot clock was at one. We just can't win on the road against good teams. Even a team like Duke that plays only 6 players.

I really feel for Lee but he has really struggled tonight against Duke. Not only has he not shot it well but his defense has been very poor tonight. How many times has he bit on a ball fake only to sail by his man and then give up a make! Damn, who told him he was a shot blocker!

He's playing with a chip on his shoulder and I don't blame him. I respect the referee pulling him aside when Lee got in a exchange with Ingram.

Just a few criticism on Trey Lewis tonight that may shed some light on why he's struggling. He is missing an arc on his jumper. He also need to push the pace when he has the ball so he can take advantage of the other teams defense not being set. We were down by 5 and had 30 seconds at the end of the game and he still took his time with getting the ball up the floor. Several times tonight, he lost the ball trying to dribble it among the trees inside resulting in turnovers. Some of those were key momentum changing possessions.
