Doug Bruno has another strong squad this season. They began the season at home with a loss to Texas A&M 93-91. (Former Card Ciera Johnson plays for the Aggies). It looks like Dougie has thrown defense out the window this season but, when you can fill up the bucket, a lot of things can go forgiven. They love the three they've launched 64 of them (in two games) and are hitting at a 44% clip. Dougie has five players in double figures, including guard Lexi Held out of Conner High School in Burlington, KY. They also have Bedford-North Lawrence's Jorie Allen on the roster (she's a transfer from IU and was Indiana Miss Basketball in 2019) They even have a SONYA! (leading scorer Sonya Morris at 21.5 points-per-game).
