This is going to be a challenging season and I am glad we have Cochran, Harris, Russell and Curry. We might not be a top 25 team but those 4 are probably the difference between a losing season and a winning season.

End of 3rd quarter up by 9 we look better than BC but we get the lead and they keep coming back. We have a lot of scorers on this team but sometimes they play me ball. All of the BC players on the court are over 6’.

Got distracted watching NFL games and got to watch YouTubeTV’s key plays and then the last six minutes of the second half. Looks like Coach Walz has started to figure out the rotation and shorten his bench, right in time for conference play. A very good conference road win against a better than expected BC team.

We look like freshman because we have 9 on the roster and Cochran hasn't improved since her soph year. Her best shot is a 10 foot fadeaway instead of dominating at the rim.

A conf road win is always a very positive event. Roberts is very solid. Berry is improving. Randolph is getting more comfortable as well. It comes down to can Harris, Cochran and Curry lead the team? I think Olivia works very hard; can she dominate? No. Can Harris or Curry dominate? No. They do, however, have to be consistent and reliable. Who is the go-to player in crunch time? THAT is the biggest question. Could be Curry, Robinson or even Berry. This team needs that go-to person to make a play when needed and especially when time is running out.

I think Berry should be getting more minutes. When she is on she can take over a game, and she is
definitely the best 3-point shooter on the team. She makes some mistakes, but they all do, and she
plays hard every second she is on the floor.

I think her defense leaves a bit to be desired- at the moment. But, I think that is improving as well. She had a game, the last home game I think vs NC St, and he shot was shot was flat as pancake for some reason. Now, she is getting more arc i to her shot and it shows. What she does on the court is very effortless and once she can really show that she can take players off the dribble and drive to the basket I think she’ll be very hard to stop.

I agree that based on her skillset Berry should be getting more PT. But I also think she kind of goes off script to do her own thing. IMO, Walz is trying to find out what combination of players is the most productive on the court.

Oh, I think all of the Fr and Sophs are still learning and growing. Overall, I think people expect instant success with new players. Often, newbies need time - they are all not Asia Durr. Cortnee Walton didn’t start to make a real impact until her Jr year (just one example). I think our young 4/5s will need time to develop. Guards tend to be more athletic and I think their game translates easier to college play.
