LOUISVILLE AT NOTRE DAME GAME THREAD- 8PM ACCN

Well, it's what we usually see when we play in South Bend. ND making 3's and playing way above their usual game.

However, they're not taking away anything from Louisville defensively. If the Cards don't have a horrible shooting game, they should be alright.

ND always plays their best at home against UofL.

If Waterman ever makes two 3's in a row, he may not pass again. I've never seen such a green light for such a poor shooter.

Cards are playing great defense for the most part. They have contested most every ND shot.

Interesting to see the Cards trying not to switch by going around screens.

ND made four 3's pretty quick but not much after. Cards win this game if they shoot well and avoid letting up if they get a double digit lead.

ND is trying to do what GT did and Coach Kelsey knows this. This is another great coaching adjustment.

GT made its run in the 2nd half so look for the Cards to have a fast start to the half. The key is to make ND doubt and not be confident.

Waterman's shot is too flat. A hand injury will do that to a shooter. These misses are wide open and they're bricks. He has to have the red light in close games.

He slings his head to the side and jumps to the side. Nothing to do with his thumb..

Could be but mentally, a hand injury destroys confidence.

We just haven't seen him as a good shooter. We know the stats he had at BYU, but we Cards fans hasn't seen anything but poor results shooting the 3.

His misses are not close. Something is going on.

Kansas was also part of the first top 16 seeds this week. It's ridiculous! Kansas is the antithesis of Louisville this season. Voters shake off the Jayhawks losses because they are Kansas. It took Uconn losing 8 games before they were finally removed from the top 25.

UK will probably not drop much at all with their injuries being the reasoning. Louisville's injuries apparently mean little in that aspect.

I still think they are basing our ranking on the past 2 seasons. They are finding it hard to think we can go from 2 losing seasons to a top 25 team.
Not just losing seasons, but the worst power conference program. Only DePaul came close and of course the Cards lost to DePaul last season.

I think many voters just assumed throughout this season Louisville would start losing, so they were reluctant to rank them. The other voters it's just easy for them to exclude Louisville because of how down the Cards have been, even before the KP years.

Now they see Louisville with 20 wins, having won 14 out of 15 and that one loss was to GT, who then beat Clemson on the road. If any voter keeps the Cards out of their poll, they're simply biased.

If you watch closely, the defense last night is returning to pre-Georgia Tech, when the team was cohesive at that end of the court.

The weak side rotation, the help with cutting off penetration and closing out on 3 point shooters. When they are focused on that end,it really tells you that they are the total package of team ball.
