LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A 21-year-old man punched both of his grandparents in the face in part because UK lost its annual football grudge match to UofL over the weekend, according to police.
LMPD officers were called to the 100 block of Blue Fields Road on Saturday after the football game. That's where Conner Karem "became violent after a brief discussion regarding salad," according to his arrest report.
After Karem punched his grandfather in the face and nose, he "proceeded to repeatedly punch his grandmother, even after she fell to the floor," the report said.

Karem suffers from seasonal depression and Asperger's, but is fully functional, his family told police. He was also upset because of the holidays.
The man left the home but returned after police arrived and began investigating. When Karem saw the officer inside the home, he spit on him, then later told him, "You're lucky it wasn't a gun," according to the arrest report.
Karem faces multiple charges.
