Do you realize that he checked the future #1 draft pick and while he guarded him most of the game monk only scored once on him. He did work tonight and Q will get most of the praise, Levitch locked him down.

LOL. This was a team win. Levitch did his part and played his role as well as he could. He does deserve kudos for stepping in when Mitchell got his 3rd foul, and Hicks didn't play as well as I thought he might. Pitino was more comfortable with Levitch than Hicks at a crucial time in the game. That says a lot about Levitch IMO.

I know if you like Defense you have to give him the MVP. I get Q was really it, but the Unsung Hero is definitely Levitch.
I'm proud of them all. GO CARDS!

Q MVP followed closely by Adel.

Levitch showed some serious poise and played a crucial role tonight. Have to give him credit.

I wouldn't say he locked down Monk either, but played solid considering the competition.

Monk is streaky and scared the hell out of most UofL fans for an outstanding 'outlier' performance against UNC. A really good player though.

Levitch knows what Pitino wants done, and knows how to do it.

That will always give him a few minutes. His 9/1 ast/TO ratio on the year is pretty good. He can also hit a 3 pt shot and it's refreshing to see a player understand how to play the game and not try to do too much when put in.

That said this thread was hopefully created after the OP did a shot of tequila, smoked a laced joint, or finished an orgasm.

The kid played 12 minutes vs UK and missed all his shots and the only counting stat he got was 1 rebound.

Gonna' go easy on the poster! I am presenting the unsung player award to Levitch. He does deserve some form of kudo.

It's just amazing how good a coach Rick Pitino has become. He's learning on the job. :p;)

GO CARDS - BEAT EVERYBODY!!! God Bless America!!!

Levitch lived up to the saying-

"Age and experience will overcome youth and skill"

uk's main problem is lack of experienced players.

Levitch knows what and how CRP wants things done.

Sounds like a big Levitch fan. To say he shut down Monk is like saying Briscoe shut down Mitchell. Monk and Mitchell just had off nights and teammates had to step up like Adel & Snyder did who was the true MVP. UK needed more from someone else and did not get it.

Levitch needs to become a deadeye foul shooter to earn the respect of the defense.

The kid was scared and nervous. It was easy to see the moment was overwhelming for him. He wasn't expecting to be in that situation and it showed. That's OK. Those are moments of experience. He'll be better prepared the next time up.

I can appreciate the moment. My concern is his body of work for the year. He has earned more PT, but he can secure his position with a better effort at the stripe.

Well I think CRP had confidence in him by putting him back in the game at the end knowing that UK might have to foul and knowing that he missed those 2 FTs
