Man, Lamar once again just can't get a break in these playoff games. The INT didn't hurt because Buffalo punted, but his fumble after the bad snap is just typical of the shit that seems to happen in the playoffs.
Henry is basically out of the game already. It must be the frigit cold because Buffalo just has no issues with the weather. This game is where it's at due to the fumble by Lamar on the bad snap. They were in position to go up at least 10 to 7 when that happened. If Buffalo scores at the end of the half, they have a chance to go up 28-10 because they get the second half kick. That basically takes Henry out of the game and makes it next to impossible.
The INT did hurt because it takes away an opportunity to come back down and score and put more pressure on Buffalo.Man, Lamar once again just can't get a break in these playoff games. I tend to agree with you although I think he loses focus because he gets too hyped up on winning. I think if games were played to 50 points without a clock, he would win almost every game. He hasn't learned to value possessions. There are only so many opportunities you are given in a game, especially if your defense doesn't get turnovers or 3 and outs. Lamar is like ok, I'll do it the next possession until there's no next possession and the game is over. Ravens are so much better when they get that early lead and their defense does the job. Thats why that early INT stopped their momentum and gave it to the Bills. With all the weapons the Ravens have, they can't afford quick 3's and out and there seem to be too many of those. We all know that Lamar is the best player on the field I think he just needs to learn to manage his emotions and possessions better. I think his postgame comments confirm that he gets too emotional although we don't always see it.Probably not a popular take here. I love LJ,but tbs he has a tendency to lose his focus at the biggest moments. Take the sack on that bad snap and fumble. He has to be better than Allen.
All that aside he is really good when he's got laser sharp focus. He had it early, lost it, then was poised to get his team into an overtime late, save one last drop.
I agree with this but would like to add that the past three losses in the playoffs were to the Bills twice and the Chiefs. Not exactly upset losses there.I tend to agree with you although I think he loses focus because he gets too hyped up on winning. I am not the biggest Lamar fan by no means since he plays for a division opponent of two teams I like. But it is sickening that every single mistake he makes is magnified while his feats are downplayed. I have seen the best of the best make mistakes that left me SMH that were largely passed off by the media as just FB. That includes the likes of Tom, Peyton and others before them. He has always had a receiver corps and RBs that were pedestrian at best. I thought the addition of Derrick Henry would put them over the top this year, but sh.. happens.Who cares about anything written anywhere? Come on now, all fans want their favorite team and players to be praised, not ridiculed. There's haters everywhere and Facebook is just one example.
I find it strange how so many believe the nonsense that Lamar is not good enough to win in the playoffs. How they blame every Ravens loss on #8. I don't get it, and it's not that I really care about their opinions as it is why these people hate him so much?
Two prime examples. When you're a 2 time MVP people go after you. I'm sure Marino and Elway heard it too.
Of course, that was before we all decided to go after each other like we are nowadays. 😕
Yes, Marino and Elway heard it too until what happened? Darnold and Mayfield among others are still hearing it. Prescott has been hearing it before he got hurt? Why? If Bills don't win, you might start hearing it about Josh. When you're a 2 time MVP people go after you. I'm sure Marino and Elway heard it too.
