That program, that coach and especially their fans are the single biggest evil in college basketball. I'd sign up for KU never winning a title again if that meant a death penalty for sUcKs. Attacking a man's personal business is just step one for those lunatics. How long until they start physically assaulting people they hold responsible for their chokes in March , or maybe something even worse? The Big Blew Nation is truly the worst fanbase in all of sports. They mistake lunacy for passion and support

They already assault couches and tv's, so people can't be far behind.
 
Calipari got it all going when he complained at the post game press conference about how allegedly the ref's took his team out in the first half LOL. Truly amazing the game was only about one more fouled called total. And of all teams crying about the ref's and the whistle UK sure should not even speak. I remember that year when the twins would just burrow down the lane head first into players . And get those blocking calls on the other opponent. We all know about Uk and the whistle.

Calipari knew what he was doing by inciting them inbreds. And what better media outlet personality too promote the venom king of eastern kentucky Matt Jones!

It's sad really, they expect to get the same calls on the road or on a neutral court as they get at Rupp. They can't come to grips that John couldn't make the final four with another #1 recruiting class and 2 seniors in the starting lineup. It can't be John's fault so they blame the officials. Pitino once said, excuses are a sign of weakness.

Seriously, what do you expect when Calipari himself says and I quote "You know, it's amazing that we were in that game where they practically fouled out my team."

HE is blaming the refs for his team losing. Of course his minions are going to carry that same torch. Calipari has always deflected his lack of coaching skills by complaining about the officiating. That's why he is such a great fit in Lexington.

First things first. The UK faithful are a 'cult', not a fan base.

That's what happens when you combine a whiny coach and a huge group of intellecually challenged people, whose tiny world view revolves solely around KY basketball.

Anyone wanna guess how many of those blue losers called in sick Monday morning? I always say a prayer after a big UKay loss for women, McDonalds managers, pets and flat screens.

Don't forget Cat fans, Mother's Day this year is "Maye 14th". :)

I highly doubt Mr.Higgins wants a run down trailer with holes in the roofs he has enough business fixing them. So guess what they don't have anything worth losing.
 
Having to hire an attorney, going through depositions, discovery process, etc to answer a lawsuit is a pain in the butt even if you are broke.

I hope this turns out to be fake news. If it's true, it's despicable. That's the man's livelihood. No excuse for taking it to that level.
 
Nothing but a bunch of low life, trailer trash losers - 1/2 of which I'm betting don't even have a G.E.D. much less attended uk. Higgins will come out of it fine business wise - people typically rally to others that the perceive to being unjustifiably abused.

The silver lining of the deal is that anyone who was even slightly ambivalent about big hillbilly nation, will now be as disgusted by them as we are.

How about another angle yet to be discussed...

This could also really back-fire in future games.

It will be interesting to see how "other" officials handle UK games moving forward. The home games will be status quo due to the intimidation factor.

But, out on the road, and again in the post-season where it's not quite as intimidating - will there be retribution by other officials standing up for one of their own? Yeah, this particular ref may not get assigned to UK games moving forward, but he's more than likely got a few pals in the same profession that will not appreciate how he was treated.

There's a human element to this.

Also, how about officials not only wanting to stand up for that guy, but stand up for themselves in general. It's understood refs are hated, and there has been heat of the moment physical altercations with players and coaches in the past.

But this is just more calculated, and more bizarre, and honestly more unacceptable.

It reported on Wave 3 tonight (Not to say news stations haven't reported fake news). Also reported he took down the page. His rating dropped to a 1. SuCk fans are despicable. Good news the rest of the country is seeing it first hand.
 
For once, I can't even disagree. There were some absolutely crap calls. But in spite of that, we're up 5 with 5 minutes to go. You gotta win that.

But, the fact that this has happened and made such headlines is honestly embarrassing.

You're right, but I'll bet the slappies already have a pretty good reputation among the officials. What's happening now is that awareness is moving into other circles.

The uahkay president really needs to step up here and tell him to apologize to this official immediately and publically. But do any of us think that that bastion of academic integrity will request this from mr. Calivacate? Not very likely.

Not likely, they've doubled down on it. They have an online petition going that they plan to submit to the NCAA to never allow Higgins to call a UK game again. Don't know how many signatures it has, but I saw it being circulated on facebook yesterday.

You guys were WINNING by 5 with less than 5 minutes to go and lost the game! That is on UK and its COACH!!! Own it! I seem to remember the '14 Sweet 16 officials being HORRIBLE but UL was up 7 with less than 4 to go and lost the game to LPT. That's on CRP and the team. We never "blamed" refs or claimed we got cheated. The weakest cop out of all. Pathetic by an already pathetic BBN to be honest.

I seem to recall a UK starter fouling out 5 minutes into the second half in '14, and plenty of people on here blaming the refs.
 
The goal tending was a bad call, but if you call that then you've got to call the same thing on Maye when he went to dunk and the ball bounced up, and he was holding the rim while it was above the cylinder.

The Bam over the back was a weak call, especially since Meeks was riding people on the other end.

The blown out of bounds call when Berry twisted his ankle and lost the ball.

The Willis call wasn't made until UK recovered the ball, and appeared to have a fast break.

Fox was hammered on the last play of the half.

Both fouls on Fox were sketchy, the block call was a charge, he beat White to the spot, and White lowered his shoulder.

Referee's have bad games, but Higgins has a history of having bad games when UK is involved, and the first half was atrocious even to an impartial viewer.

Higgins has called every final 4 but one since 2010, he didn't ref the 2012 final 4, which UK won?

I agree. Not gonna win many games giving up a 10-0 run inside five minutes.
 
I would also like to add that Higgins has officiated every final four since 2010 besides one. 2012.

Thats not what the poster I was replying stated though, he wrote that you guys didn't blame the refs, right after he blamed the refs.

I think some of the reaction is over the top, I personally wouldn't go to someone's website and trash or threaten them. However, this is at least the 4th time since Cal has been coach at UK in the tourney Higgins has been involved in a game that was poorly officiated, with VERY questionable calls going against UK which they lost.
Since the NCAA hasn't held him accountable, and the media hasn't held him accountable, the BBN right or wrong pressed the point.

While there will be some short term bad publicity, it won't last, and you can bet if he ref's another UK game in tourney he'll be under the spotlight.

Not making excuses, but don't make excuses for a horribly called first half by a ref that has consistently been horrible when calling UK games in the tourney.

Oswald was in the book depository.

I don't condone death threats but I'm not gonna tell someone how to live their life. I did however give his business a 1* rating and had I known it would have made the news I would have added a snarky comment with it.

The refereeing profession is somewhat akin to a fraternity. I don't think that other officials are going to take kindly to idiot yut fans personally attacking one of their own. You may never have Higgins assigned to another yut game however if you think that there won't be some sort of collective blow back to the reprehensible actions of your 'fan' base, then you are even dumber than I originally gave you credit for.

It's a shame that as a grown man (I guess) you don't know the meaning of either of the words - right or wrong

They may or may not, but that was already happening. Only now they'll be in the spot light if they do.

Here's an idea, if a referee calls a sh*tty tourney game then hold them accountable.
