Kelan Martin

At this point, I'm embarrassed for you.

Since the coaching staff is making so many costly mistakes with recruiting, it is obvious you need to join the staff and make the necessary changes within the program to help our program get better. Send your resume to the appropriate place and make it happen.

You. Da. Man.

You should be embarrassed for yourself! Because every point you made as to why Martin couldnt possibly excell here I gave an example of a player that was a similar recruit (Obannon,Knowles,Kuric, etc) that went totally against what you gave. As far as applying for a job, emailing coaches, name calling, etc usually when posters resort to that they've been defeated....some like to die a slow death.... (shrugs)

The bottom line is these roster decisions you are crying about - and yes you are crying about them, are completely inconsequential given the success of this program during the time frame being discussed. The fact that this simple concept flies over your head is why I'm embarrassed for you.

I've shot down all your uninformed tunnel vision posts with with basic concepts that just bounce off your head and go nowhere, that is your fault not mine I can only show you a door I can't make you open it.

One of your worst arguing points was bringing a walk on Kyle Kuric into the discussion as if he is a local player that we signed over a highly rated player. He agreed to walk on he didn't have to worry about a scholarship because his family is loaded dude, and he isn't local. Jesus that's almost as bad as you asking which school Hickey got kicked out of - Okie St, or one of his HS, when it was actually LSU that you didn't even know he attended much less got kicked out of. And you think you're winning the debate. Sure thing.

Read the bold point of this response I'm giving to you. I'll put it here again.

The program is 15-3 in the post season the last four years the topic of this thread is incredibly inconsequential given the amazing results this staff has produced and anybody complaining about players we "miss" on is incapable of grasping the big picture.

Can you find Evansville on a map? Hint, that place is not in the state of KY.

Devils thinks I'm defeated. No, it's called exhaustion from talking to a wall.

Or maybe I will try to give this to you in a way you will better understand.

Kalen Martin ain't here cause Rick didn't think he was good enough to play on this team for this program and I'm going to roll with what Rick thinks because he's got rings. I've heard your opinion on this and the other players and I simply laugh at you because you think you know more about how to build a college basketball roster than the mighty Rick Pitino does. I'm going to trust his opinions on players over yours despite all your knowledge and trust in regards to the local players even though you don't really understand what local really is. I know you're mad we got all these great players growing up dying to be Cards for life but if you open up a program at the next game you go to you are going to actually see a couple players on the current team that are actually local which pretty much makes me happy because you know what - I like the local kids too! And another thing I"m going to just turn this entire part of my post into one paragraph and make it a pain in the ass to read because I assume that's how you like it since that's how you roll. I'm going to mix in a handful of run on sentences just like you do because I'm so busy loving local HS basketball around here just like you sometimes I forget to put my thoughts into any structure via paragaraphs. Hey did I mention Preston Knowles played here? Cause he did. Go Cards. For the record I love Preston Knowles my man but I might add he was the best player on a team that got ceremoniously booted out of the NCAAs in the very first Rd as a heavy favorite so I'm not sure how good of a aruging point you're even making bringing PK into this. I love some PK but the results his SR year tell me moving forward it's probably best to have a higher rated player be the best player on the team because more than likely if you got a 2 star like PK as your main man your team might over achieve and have a good year but they aren't going to be a threat to go deep in the tourney. Oh snap I can't believe I went there because I do love PK but I'm dealing with a dude that brings a knife to a gunfight so I guess I just did. I wish Coach Pitino knew what he was doing and listened to the message board posters that want him to sign all the kids that grew up wanting to be Cards for life instead of taking all these hot shot kids from around the way that don't love Louisville the way these kids around here love Louisville - no actually I don't wish that at all. It doesn't make a lot of sense to take a guy rated #185 over a guy rated #28 even though every body knows numbers don't mean nothin unless you talkin bout cash money brotha. I know that you don't understand this but I still say I'd rather compete with UCONN and UCLA for players instead of Texas Tech and Eastern KY but hang in there man and just try to make it through these tough times otherwise known as Louisville basketball the Rick Pitino era. I sure wish the Cards would either win more games or stay ranked longer or something like that maybe take a few more local kids do something to stop this long stretch of bad basketball I've had to watch where Rick is taking all these hot shot out of state high rated wannabe Kobe's instead of trying to find the next Terrence Farley. I still believe Rick is an okay coach I just sure wish he'd hook it up with Devlischild from rivals.com and put those two heads of theirs together and get us a better team.

You're the big winner!

So now the grammar police are out too?!?! Yea my job here is done. But before I go let me shoot a million holes in what you're saying AGAIN. It's great to recruit against UCLA,UCONN(Eli Wright had a UCONN offer btw),etc but when said recruit is only in your program for one uneventful year its kinda not that great of an example. Yet you talk about my P. Knowles example as being bad. Haaa! Kalen Martin will have a better college career then Aaron. And Aaron is at a school now where he should get all the minutes he can handle. And I'm not on here screaming for Terrence Farley level kids. He wasn't gonna do anything had he went to TN Tech. Stringing Q. Goodin along got us a much lower level recruit in his place. Not giving Martin a look left a big whole at the 3. Luckily Lee signed on. And going all out for Telfair had us miss on Rondo. Sooooo....before I go lemme pull a message board cliche out my ass....I think you left me one....you've alrdy done name calling, you've alrdy done the whole I think I know more then the coach,& in a pitiful last ditch effort you even called the grammar police! Lmmfao The only thing you left off was a U of K reference....so you guessdd it buddy....you sound like a U of K fan. How dare someone speak against Saint Cal/Rick! #FOH We don't do blind allegiance over here. We speak on whats real. Martin is good enough to be a Card and should be a Card.

ou mad bro

No. I'm laughing at how uninformed on college basketball you are. You also write on an elementary grade level and you don't know the location of Evansville.

You should be mad, whatever elementary school teachers passed you all cheated you.

Can you tell us what the power ball numbers are after they've been pulled smart guy?

Want to weigh in on VJ King now, or should you just wait a couple years from now and then show off how much you know?

Complete idiot.

First off, it's hole you complete idiot. Not whole. Jesus you are stupid dude. The content of your posts are so awful, and your inability to master the language doubles down.

Second, and this will be my last serious response to you. The staff did look at him he played on the same team as Snider in HS. Do you think they covered their eyes anytime Snider didn't have the ball or wasn't in the spotlight and not watch the games? Earth to really dumb guy, the staff recruited Snider heavily and in the process undoubtedly took a look at a guy that played on his same team from the same exact class who had a rating in the mid 100s and a decent HS resume. Only a complete moron would not realize that.

The staff didn't offer him because he did not fit the system. He can't play the press. He's a low grade defender. Go look at his defensive statistics after you go back to grade school. He's had some weight issues and they didn't want to waste their time on a middling recruit with those deficiencies when they had a jewel from WA rated 100 positions higher (same place that gave us Siva and TWill) coming on board to play the 3.

Congratulations. You're awful.

Lighten up hop, it's not a fair fight.

Martin scored 2,000+ career points at one of the most prestigious public high schools in the country. More then Wheat,Eaves,Bender, and a ton of other high level players. While playing along side Q. Snider mind you. The staff chose to take a kid that was ranked higher but it was a swing and a miss. A kid that physically was under developed at that. Is it easier to add weight or drop it?!?! Aaron did absolutely nothing while he was here. He looked lost on defense. He looked lost on offense. And he didn't have the the drive to tough it out here. Now deflect away....

Just stop already. We are in the middle of a great run. Sit back and enjoy it, or switch teams if recruiting means more to you than results.
