Jones Is A Warrior

He is definitely the leader and we are lucky to have him especially with such a young team. The players really look to him in crunch time and he sure has delivered. I really like what Mack and staff are building here. Everybody on our team delivered in some way or another. Sam was killing Duke on the rebounds and Withers is really going to be something if he keeps playing the way he is playing.

Agree 100%. Would love for him to be rewarded with a sweet 16 appearance or better. Several guys played major roles tonight. Sam Williamson, Jae Withers, Quinn Slazinski, and Malik all had key contributions.
Great to see Carlik getting props for his play. Glad he decided on wearing Louisville red.

As good as Jones is, I'm afraid teams will gear their game plans going forward to stopping him.
They'll likely have to get more balance going forward.
Yeah,he is a warrior.

That starting can compete against most teams!!! Few more games to gel and this team has a chance to do some damage. I would rather be a 10 seed than a 8 or 9!!

Jones needs consistent help from his teammates for sure. Hopefully DJ can stop playing quite so wrecklessly and Sam and the others continue to improve their game.

DJ is WAY too dangerous to give the ball to in a desperate situation. He is simply AWFUL at ballhandling and control and passing.

I like DJ overall but I was kind of relieved when he fouled out last night. When he came back in late, he practically started giving the game back to Duke and halted the momentum the Cards were on.

That said when DJ is on his game he is integral to this team. But he really does need to work on decision making and valuing the ball/possessions.

Quite true; DJ has a bundle of talent, but his inability to play under control at times on the offensive end is most disconcerting, and last night was another example. CCM specifically called David out in his post game show.

IMO since the media reported DJ was a top 15 pick if he declared, his game has gradually declined. Hope he can get back to focusing on the present.

Ironically, I think this team is very similar to the women’s team and the similarities between Carlik and Dana. When the team is passing the ball, they can become a good offensive team. When the other players are trying to get theirs, not so much. Same on defense, if they play together and help out and rebound as a team, they can be good defensively. Let’s see if we can continue to play team ball minus Malik.
