The guy is a joke. I honestly think he would take a 3 loss winner of the Big 10 or SEC championship game over the Cards. He's a hater, plain and simple. Screw him.
I wonder if it is the talking heads telling him to say it. (producers)The guy is a joke. I honestly think he would take a 3 loss winner of the Big 10 or SEC championship game over the Cards. He's a hater, plain and simple. Screw him.
I still don't understand Ppl worrying about a talking head....as long as Louisville continue to win their opinion just doesn't matter.
Actually talking heads do make a difference, wether its politics in the civic arena or politics in sports. They set the tone or context for those who don't closely follow the top 20-25 teams, and who does - even on this board. The "tone" of dissing us with these extreme negative statements versus the traditional teams, even if they don't mean it and are taking positions for ratings, are not good. Joey and Paul are way over the top.
I still say that if FLORIDA or PENN STATE was on our jerseys, while we might not be #4, we would not be sneered at in this manner. Not good for the "brand."
Perfect example, tonight duing the Ariz and Mich game one of the announcers was already claiming some team has the best guards in the country. I ask, how after 3 or maybe 5 games stake this claim?!Talking heads for sports are as useless as political polls!!
For some of these pundits they just don't like seeing an outsider trying to get into the big boy club. It's usually former players from those big boy programs. Sometimes it's just a guy who doesn't want to yield from his original opinion but most just don't look at Louisville as a major player in football. This is only the Cards third year in the ACC and they are 16 and 7 so far in conference games. Other than UofL, only FSU and Clemson have had winning records the past three seasons in the ACC. Like it or not, Louisville football is a big boy program.
All of these guys are lobbying hard against Louisville simply because they all have their own favorite teams on conferences and in no way would they ever want their teams/conferences embarrassed by a Cardinal whipping. It's just that simple.
Didn't see it but was told that on GD, The Bear said that on a neutral field, the Cards would beat anybody.
Anybody else see it?
