The guy is a joke. I honestly think he would take a 3 loss winner of the Big 10 or SEC championship game over the Cards. He's a hater, plain and simple. Screw him.

I still don't understand Ppl worrying about a talking head....as long as Louisville continue to win their opinion just doesn't matter.

Actually talking heads do make a difference, wether its politics in the civic arena or politics in sports. They set the tone or context for those who don't closely follow the top 20-25 teams, and who does - even on this board. The "tone" of dissing us with these extreme negative statements versus the traditional teams, even if they don't mean it and are taking positions for ratings, are not good. Joey and Paul are way over the top.

I still say that if FLORIDA or PENN STATE was on our jerseys, while we might not be #4, we would not be sneered at in this manner. Not good for the "brand."

For some of these pundits they just don't like seeing an outsider trying to get into the big boy club. It's usually former players from those big boy programs. Sometimes it's just a guy who doesn't want to yield from his original opinion but most just don't look at Louisville as a major player in football. This is only the Cards third year in the ACC and they are 16 and 7 so far in conference games. Other than UofL, only FSU and Clemson have had winning records the past three seasons in the ACC. Like it or not, Louisville football is a big boy program.

The "Brand" is being established by #8 and Coach Petrino...HS Kids watch games not talking heads...

Talking heads for sports are as useless as political polls!!
Perfect example, tonight duing the Ariz and Mich game one of the announcers was already claiming some team has the best guards in the country. I ask, how after 3 or maybe 5 games stake this claim?!

People like Finebaum, Booger, Joey don't consider us a big boy program and they will continue not to. In Finebaum eyes and mind he can't get his lips off of Saban and Alabama butt, it's getting pretty pathletic and sad, Alabama isn't the be all end all team in college football.

When you consider who those talking heads actually are and who they root for then all of us should understand their ignorance. I don't give a rat's ass what any of them think or say since not a single one of them have a vote on the CFP committee. Their lack of respect for UofL is borne of fear, pure and simple.

GO CARDS - BEAT EVERYBODY!!! God Bless America!!!

All of these guys are lobbying hard against Louisville simply because they all have their own favorite teams on conferences and in no way would they ever want their teams/conferences embarrassed by a Cardinal whipping. It's just that simple.

Yep, they remember like elephants. That beat down of the Gators in the Sugar Bowl, and A&M last year are seared in their memory banks.....and they Fear the Cardinals.....so they just won't give them any respect and darn sure don't want to see another beat down of one of their own again.!!!! Sad, just sad they get paid money to be such dishonest homers. Wish I had a job like that.:oops::rolleyes:o_O

On College Gameday they asked, "who could beat Alabama"? Everybody except Dez (for obvious reasons) agreed i t could be Louisville or Clemson. So the fear is definitely there for sure. Nobody is fearing Washington.

Didn't see it but was told that on GD, The Bear said that on a neutral field, the Cards would beat anybody.

Anybody else see it?

Yep I caught most of that. To paraphrase, the Bear was making very legit points on why Louisville could be a threat in the CFP. Reese tried to shoot it down by saying Louisville only played 1 team with a winning record. Then the Bear said well if OSU/Michigan were in the conference playing against Clemson and Louisville, how would their win loss record would look? In other words why are we so confident Louisville is not better than those teams. Then they were like um oh well um err. Later on Dez hypocritically said Washington St passed the eye test. That's funny because that was the point the Bear was trying to make.
