JJ Traynor

Cincinnati, I don’t get that you can choose between an ACC school or a AAC school. Seems like one is at a huge advantage to me but who knows what is on the mind of an 18 year old.

Says four star Devin Booker and Tyler Herro. You can not deny the success UK has had in the last ten years in the draft.

22 MAX deals in the NBA, 7 of them are UK grads. There’s no other program in the country that has had the success in the draft as the BB
How many GRADS? Or attended?

Now i'm really starting to wonder and worry about what is being said about the program this year on the recruiting trail. I mean i totally understand each player has their own values that makes them choose a particular school However i find it a little no a bit frustrating that a kid like this is making a decision between U of L and Cincy.

When Brakefield ,Askew and,Love all basically had U of L either 1 or 2 on their list depending on who reports it. Got calls from Duke,NC and Uk they dropped U of L in a heartbeat. Yes i'm a U of L homer but i would think. JJ gets a offer from U of L , we should be his first hands down choice as those other kids did to us. Just my fandom in full throttle.

Did you say UK grads? None of them graduated, they were merely passing through. And I assure you that uk had nothing to do with them being drafted, they were considered pro level before they ever set foot on campus. In fact several saw their stock drop after going there.

Pitino has 2. Can't believe a UofL is not counting our title
I can acknowledge it all I want but go ahead and look it up. There’s a footnote that says Pitino would have 2 titles but had to vacate the 2013 title. I know we won but you won’t change what goes down in the history books and records.

Traynor is committing to us. Not worried!
You do know it's out their alot of folks in his camp were wanting him to hold off on making a commitment till April. They wanted to see if he would get some other offers from certain blue blood schools . FYI I know that has to be true UK wanted him to hold off till April . People really dnt like U of L that had ties to the school smh.

May be the case, but I'll stand by my statement.
It's being forecasted that it is U of L over Cincy .IM just pointing out that had another offer been given we would not be the choice .Which is disturbing when I read Coach Brewers comments about UK i had no doubts which team he preffered .

What did you read about Brewer that was disturbing?
When you go to Kentucky, you’re a four star or a five star, but they turn four stars into five stars. I mean, they really turn them into six stars really, when you think about it with their draft stock. You really have to credit them for player development. Who would not want to send their kid to a program where their player development is extremely high? That’s the thing.

if you know anything about the NBA it's common consensus that UK alumni have no idea how to play the pro game. and if you look at the player ratings many would have actually gone higher if there was no one and done rule. ulis, harrelson, and cauley-stein moved up and got drafted higher. everyone else generally falls. players go to UK because their coach gets them paid just because they came there. they get paid based upon their potential not their accomplishments. Skai went first round, was overall HS #1, but sucked at uk and still went in the first round. had nothing to do with making players better there. wall, cousings, davis were all #1's already before choosing uk. barnes kids were #1's and didn't get drafted. at uk, you;ve only got to play a few months, skip classes and be worshipped on campus. easy life. that's why you go there. nto because of any kind of development

As most know I am a Uk fan, but even I admit there is very little being done on campus to graduate the players or improve thier draft position.
Some players rise significantly, SGA comes to mind. But if go look at mock drafts right now, you will see which players the NBA values before college starts.

Nearly Half of the first round is freshmen when you include Barrett and Ball.

Thats what drives me crazy. Like Wall, Davis, Towns, etc. wouldnt have been top 10 picks and successful in the NBA no matter where they went. They could have went to IUPUI and would have been top 5 players. I give "some" credit for guys like Alexander, etc., but all schools have those type of players that end up having a higher ceiling than their 40 ranking in rivals.
