Jaylen Johnson Was A Beast Today

He has been that way since the beginning of the season, but for some cryptic reason pitino benched him midway amd killed his confidence. Same way he is doing spalding now.

JJ has been out best big all season.

I agree he has been our best big, but like you have been crying, CRP needed to find out who was our best starter, finisher and best coming off the bench, not for the betterment of one player but for the whole team. They have similar skills and CRP needed to find out who wants it more. Understandable the junior over the soph for now.

This is a fair summary. I'll add it probably has a lot to do with match-ups, and who F'ed up the least.

CP has spoken glowingly of JJ from day 1 this season.I'm not about to second guess his reasons to get this team ready.

It was a 10 game stretch where Johnson sulked and looked out of place. Was placed back in the starting lineup and everything has reverted back to what it was in the begining of the season.

There was no 10 game stretch that you're referencing - you are just making things up now.

Wasn't JJ put in coaches dog house after we lost to Virg the first time? He was playing well before that and playing with confidence. Coach benched him and he faded. Took him awhile to regain his confidence and production followed it.

pitino likes to make you sit instead of play you through your funk and in my opinion it hurts the team.

JJ sat 10 games before being played like he was at the begining of the season. just imagine where he would be if he was played the same all year long.

You said "It was a 10 game stretch where Johnson sulked and looked out of place"

I am saying that did not happen for a 10 game stretch - and so do the box scores.
we can agree to disagree bro, good news is he is playing like his hair is on fire.

Pitino brings them all together at this time of year and it is beautiful to watch.
lets hope the entire team plays to its potential from this point forward

He wasn't benched for something he did. As I said before, CRP rewarded Spaulding by giving him a chance to start like so many posters (including you) were crying for. Ray just didn't produce like JJ did and JJ really didn't produce coming off the bench hence JJ is starting again. It's not mind games like you think. Unless it's your mind, which I believe.
