Jaelyn Withers commits to Louisville

Big pick up with 2 on board maybe others will jump on soon. I am a Trinity guy but if the Trinity kid hasn't committed by now that means he is wanting an offer from someone else. I would drop the offer and focus on other kids.

It may be nothing more than wanting a couple of free visits out of town on his part. Either way, it shows CCM is moving forward.

I like the fact that our 1st two HS recruits are from the heart of ACC country.

I believe Withers transferred from North Meck (Charlotte) to Ohio for his senior year.

Mack is recruiting on par with Pitino which is good enough. Esp. under the current cloud of the FBI investigation. (You don't know which HS kids are clean...)

It's now up to Mack to coach 'em up if he's worth what he's paid.

Pitino's last four recruiting classes
2017: Avg. player ranking 92
2016: Avg. player ranking 26 (V. J. King)
2015: Avg. player ranking 47 + Ryan McMahon
2014: Avg. player ranking 48 + two guys NR

Mack will be acquiring players who will develop over time. Remember that quaint idea? A bevy of 4 stars, a 3 star or two as projects and a 5 later are all he really needs to get to where he wants to go. It's the blueprint he used to be a #1 seed this season and it happens to be the formula for success in the college game............still.

Couldn't have said it better. It's also the blueprint Wright has used to catapult Villanova to the top, and one that Mack was more than likely trying to duplicate.

Sign kids that are talented, but are hungry to get better, and who are also hungry to win a championship. These type kids will buy into accepting whatever role the coach wants.

Even while laboring in the wake of the train wreck Pitino and his assistants created. As he succeeds here recruiting should pick up.
The "train wreck" should have created more playing time opportunities--easier to pitch recruits.

Doesn't matter... In the end, Mack will judged by wins and losses. Recruiting is a sideshow...

Can't wait, kid has a lot of athleticism and from what I've seen posted on 247, good handles and a decent jumper. Plays more like a stretch SF. Great height.

Anybody really know what his height actually is? I've seen him listed anywhere from 6'8" to 6'10".
