While it appears to be a long shot, Lamar still has a shot at a repeat Heisman. If there are some “meh” games from the front runners, I think Lamar’s crazy stats (which are on par with last year) might get some votes his way.

The favorites are: Barkley, Love, Barrett, Hurts, Rudolph.

Love is sitting out this week with an injury. Barkley and Barrett face off.

Barkley is the leader at this point and a big game against Ohio State this weekend could lock it down. I think Damien Harris of Alabama has a decent shot of sneaking in there, he actually has better stats than Barkley.

Lamar will have the stats maybe better than last year but he doesn't have a "marquee" game at the end of the year to push him to the top. At this point I just hope he is a finalist and gets invited to New York.

Its amazing to look at his stats today and think that UofL lost against Wake Forest.

27/44 330 yards Passing 1TD 1INT
161 Yards Rushing 3TD

Lot of garbage time stats there. 2 TDS in the last 2 min after the outcome was decided. Still, I wish the rest of the team would compete like Lamar does.

As a Heisman trophy winner, he has a vote this year. Can he vote for himself? Would he?
