Zipp, Sagarin has us now at #12. I hope you knew that the 2nd toughest schedule was a dynamic stat and subject to change. What are you hanging your hat on now. That we beat the #1 defense in the country. Me thinks that will change too.

That wasn't my point. I know BC has a good defense. What I am referring to is Zipp's response for everything has been we have the #2 rated schedule as an excuse of why we were 2-4. My point is yes, we can hang our hat on it for the 1st part of the schedule but it is not the whole story. Is Auburn the No. 6 team in the country as they were ranked early in the season or are they closer to the team that is near or at the dweller in the SEC west.

Yeah, Boston College has slipped all the way to the #2 defense in the country. And it can be easily argued that the reason they slipped from #1 is because they played the U of L offense. That's the only thing that changed in the last week.

Auburn is being incorporated into our SOS based on where they are now, not based on the possibility that they were being overrated coming into the season. I don't think the calculation works the way you're alleging.

I fully expect our SOS to decline as the season finishes. And while that happens, our win total increases, and our offensive and defensive stats improve. That happened on Saturday just with the completion of one game, Boston College.

We'll see where things shake out as the schedule softens. If you're whining about the offense or defense, you may not get much help for your arguments...

That RPI SOS is a little misleading. Doesn't count FCS schools and we have only beaten the next highest (lowest ranking) team NC State by 7 points. Also that service you quote predicts us to lose to Pittsburgh and UK predicting us to go 6-6. The ESPN football power index has us with the 68th remaining strength of schedule which is a better indication of what's left. Realistically I thought we would be 3-3 now, hoped for 4-2, fantasized about 5-1.

There is no limit for blame or credit. I don't think in a sport where so many people play, with so many coaches, and so many different units, that we can just point to one thing and say, "That's the problem!"

There are a number of different people that can take responsibility for the 2-4 start. Just like there were a number of people that deserved some credit for our 9 wins last year.

Well let's look at your remaining schedule. BC, at Wake, Syracuse and Virginia are all games Louisville SHOULD win. Still have to play the games. At Pitt and at Kentucky are winnable but toss ups in my opinion because they are both on the road. But the Pitt and Kentucky games are at the end of the season when you'd figure that your YOUTH has had a chance to develop more.

With Pitt looking as bad as they did tonight we will probably be favored in our remaining games. If that runs true to form we finish 8-4. Translate an 8-4 finish with our youngsters this season to 2016 an 2017. I like where we are heading !
