The make believe UCF title is not an NCAA title. It's utterly ridiculous though. It makes them look like clowns and diminishes their great season.

It's a bit more than just Sagarin. In 1950, NC''s were awarded BEFORE bowl season.Just like Ky constructing a national championship trophy for their Sagarin rated 1950 football team?

Oklahoma went into the Sugarbowl 10-0. UK was 9-1 and beat them in the final game of the season.
So both teams ended 10-1, but UK won the only head to head game. For UCF to have the same claim they would have needed to beat Bama in the final game , yet have Bama awarded the championship.
UK has claimed that title since it happened. It was earned by beating the best.Of course it’s different for a Ky fan on a UofL site.
Your school constructed a trophy 50+ years after when Sagerin put out their ratings. Yeah, totally unlike UCF.
One really small problem with your line of thinking. As you correctly pointed out, the Sooners had already been crowned champs. They had NOTHING to play for, and nobody got too fired up to play the likes of UofK even with Bear Bryant. Ever.UK has claimed that title since it happened. It was earned by beating the best.

Provide a link to anything that existed in 1950 not connected to UofK that lists UofK as national champion that year. Otherwise go away.
UCF beat every team they played last year including the only team to beat the national champions. You’re the one who is “utterly ridiculous” to assert a one loss Kentucky team in 1950 has a greater claim to a national championship.
One Yuge problem. One loss UK did defeat #1 undefeated Oklahoma. However, That one loss came at one loss Tennessee who went on to defeat Texas in their bowl game and finish with an identical record with the Cayuts.UK has claimed that title since it happened. It was earned by beating the best.
We can claim a national championship, we just can't put "NCAA" on it. And that's easily accomplished. There's not a damn thing they can do about the banners below.can UofL still claim the 2013 banner?...
